For me, I would like to see a fully realized combat system similar to the first Kotor.
It looks fast and furious, but it takes the same thought as an old school RPG, of course there would be no pausing, so they would have to think of a way around that, but im confident in BioWare.

An open game world. Or at least a fully realized and expansive public play space supplemented with closed play spaces. Basically, when I go to a planet, I want some kind of sense of freedom that I can go where I want, do what I want for the people I want, and generally become part of a living, breathing world on my own terms. Bioware did great things with linear story-telling and I respect that, but if they're going to open things up to an MMO sized audience, I would expect a greater degree of freedom that the original KOTOR games offered. If they can nail that, I'd be happy. Everything else (progression, combat, crafting/property, etc) is negotiable. |

Nothing like SWG, please.
A PvP orientated class-based system with strong PvE end-game content as well would appease me to say the least. I hope they create something a bit better quality wise than Mass Effect with similar gameplay. |
