I know I seemed pretty harsh, and I will add that I was referring to unpaid positions.  I know that doesn't soften it much, but there you go.  The gaming industry has infamously low editorial standards, and they seem to be getting lower all the time; this is not something I can ignore.

However, if I were running a PR firm or an ad agency, I imagine I would LOVE to hire anyone associated with this site.  This is not sarcasm or exaggeration.

I guess it all depends on the sort of writing you want to do.

I'd also like to add this...

No amount of experience as a writer is going to make a difference if you're not a good writer.

Good writers with experience, even if it's writing for free, is still a LOT better than a good writer with no experience.

The writing/publishing/gaming industry is a very difficult one to break into. You have to start somewhere, so why not start with a reputable site?
