Yes it does appear to be great news, based on playing previous creations of Bioware eg: Kotor I+II and other great games like Jade Empire and Mass Effect surely they will make a half decent MMORPG! Lets just hope they do guys and not another epic failure like some of the MMORPG's promised or out there today...

this is the best news ive heard. i just pray that bioware reinvents the wheel and make this game seem much different from the core mechanics then any other game!!

ElectronicArts oh my f. god.... and you guys think they will add something like pre-cu swg?

they will defently not develop a sandbox style game, it will be a cookie cutter style gameplay like world of warcraft, only with the starwars theme...

 

i personally dont want to see anything like swg in this game. i waould liek to play a star wars game that feels liek star wars, not just has star wars skins. If we are at war, let it feel that way, if we are to be hunted, let it feel that way.

Except, isn't it really about 'Good Jedi' vs. 'Evil Jedi' and 'The Republic' vs. 'The Sith' vs. the Manadalorians?

 

I thought that in this time, 'Sith' referred to a race or faction of non-force sensitive people and NOT to the evil force-sensitive people. 

The Sith in the Old Republic are already the Dark Jedi per se. The Sith as a race existed millenia before the Republic came into being during the time of the Hyperspace Wars I think.

Anyway, Sith are Old Republic Dark Jedi/Faction. Not every Sith is a Dark jedi, but Dark Jedi consider themselves Sith. Is at least how I understood it.
