What is sad is that once the players who dislike the game leave and the population of the game dwindles, then the community starts to come together. However, once the game gets launched on the Console platform, the community will be going to shit once again.

Honestly, it seems like Funcom is trying to get rid of all the PC players so that they can cater only to the Console players.

"My soul finds rest in God alone: My salvation comes from Him."

- Psalms 62:1

Not just Funcom, a lot of developers are doing that now-a-days. Take Call of Duty 4, I just bought this on PC because my dad owns it on the PS3 and it kicked ass. On the PC version there is no prestige mode, no server-side stats(which allows exploiting/cheating and modding your own stats), no leaderboards, and the game speed is a little off. So PC games are getting the shaft not just in MMO's.

I guess the people that are left in AoC now are the people that don't mind it no matter how big the stick Funcom is shoving up their ass is. Each is its own I guess.

You must be a very unpleasant person to write things like that about people you don't know, simply because they are playing a game you don't enjoy.

If I were you, I would have a good hard think about the kind of human being you are, and how you act in a public setting.

LOL, as with all coins, there are two sides.

Would people prefer a community of quitters who give up on something without giving it a chance to achieve it's full potential? It isn't about expecting or accepting less, it's about tolerating initial setbacks & disappointments because you can see things improving in the longer term.

Allegedly, that's why so many marriages fail nowadays, but since I have been happily divorced for twenty years now, I shouldn't really complain about that either.

Sorry but are u calling me a quiter because i refuse to pay some of MY money to a company i feel has scammed me?

What does quiting a borked game run by incompetent people have to do with marriages a divorces?

Back on subject, the community is probably improving because only the fanbois are left playing the game. But still i feel glad for u OP if u like the game

Sure the community is nice now only the fans left. Give it one more month and fc migth realise that one pvp and one pve serv is enough for the whole active pop and then bam perfect community. The same 20 guys that do the same instance everyday.

A lot of people left because: no real boobies, you get banned for doing pvp on a pvp serv, dx 10, the devs never heard about polish, lag spikes a plenty......................

its kind of funny how the OP was simply commenting that with the mass of people who got angry and left, the games community is more focused on playing rather than being cry babies, only to have those very cry babies tell him that he is wrong and that the game will fail. does anyone else find this funny.

sounds like the mass of  whiners who left was an actual improvement, as much as this game may or may not be messed up, there is absolutly nothing wrong with people having fun and enjoying it..

Indeed, it is funny.  I cant really understand what people are complaining about. Any MMOG is a massive project and it stands to reason that there will be an adjustment period for the developers after release with the mass of public opinion coming in via support, they do test it out on a relatively small audience before release afterall.  I have been playing this for two weeks, even over that short period of time there has been massive improvement in performance and I cant say I have come across any broken quests.

At first it seemed hard to find a decent group and I came across a few rude people but things are looking up, I have not come across any pricks in the past week (until I read this thread anyway) and it is getting easier to gather a good group.  Joined a dedicated guild with a guild city well on the way and I have met some great people.  Admittedly the first week put me off this game a bit but I got through that and now its actually becoming quite fun, the quests have generally been interesting, nothing to complain about here apart from the NORMAL evolution of an MMO if I was so inclined.

If you don't like it and you prefer tame kiddy based MMO'S that offer nothing new or original then I for one am glad your leaving.  Seems like a lot of the complainers here must be under age to play this game anyway the way you carry on with your 'fanboy' accusations and general bigotry. I mean the term 'fanboy' is only offensive because the person making the accusation is obviously a wanker and deserves a good kick to the head.  AOC has been out for maybe 2 months, someone suggested that it will die out in 6 months?? get a life you idiot or grow a brain or something.  Even if it was a complete failure which is highly unlikely it would take at least a couple of years to die out.

I know its hard to understand to some people but making a game on this scale there are bound to be some initial problems, a game like this does not appear out of nowhere it actually takes quite a massive team of people to develop it.  Artists, programmers, quest writers, level designers etc, etc.  My point is - give something a chance before making a presumptuous wanker out of yourself, you know come back a couple of months down the track when some of the issues have been sorted out!  If your so intolerant in the first place you really should have used your brain and waited before you purchased the game anyway, unless your just some sort of idiot that doesn't understand that or didn't read the many reviews stating that the game still needs work and has a few issues.

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of people around who's feces seem to spew forth from the wrong end of their bodies.
