I'm of the same mentality, to me the FF series died with FFXI, FFXII was just plain awful. Maybe if they had stuck to some of their traditions instead of trying to switch to clunky combat systems, I would be more forgiving, but there was nothing about their game that reminded me of FF. Heck, even if they would've replaced their combat system with that of Kingdom Hearts I would've been more forgiving, but then again it just wouldn't feel the same, and that was one of the biggest downers of FFXII.

Youre only as strong as the tables you dance on,
the drinks you mix, and the friends you roll with

This is good news for me, I always wanted to play any FF game but was always with microsoft so Im getting this game for sure.
