Why would I want to look at pre rendered images rather than the real game? Look at the videos they've posted, 3 months or so from release. That is the real game. To everyone else whining about the graphics. Thats fine, you dont have to like them. Go play AoC or something similar that graphics is everything since thats what your lookin for. If you decide to do a siege with 80+ people in one area and your video card overheats please, come tell us how great thoes graphics are! You dont have to like or be interested in this game and you can talk about all the bad things you think it has all you want, thats fine. But please be logical or rational about it. "OMG these graphics are the crappiest ever!" type of comments are redundant by now and rather stupid. Again when your great, realistic graphics set your graphics cards on fire in a huge scaled PvP/RvR combat setting (which is what WAR is about) you will finally understand why graphics cant be on par with crysis or AoC. |

No one is asking for ground breaking graphics for WAR. Think most people understand that there must be a tradeoff for large battles. However the video from E3, that's the latest one release by EA Mythic (or whatever they are called now) just looks like a 2001 game. Everything from the spell effects to the smoothness of the animations to the blandness of the landscape, it just looks terrible. Is it too much to ask for a game released in 2008 to have better graphics than DAoC? |

It's compared to WoW because of the art direction. A lot of people that hate the graphics hate them because of it's art direction. A video isn't going to give off the real feel of the graphics, videos will almost always distort the graphics. WAR has a lot of focus on the details that you can't really see with a video. Judge the graphics when the game actually comes out, not while it's still in CB where they're still adjusting them. |
