Judge acknowledged that there is copywrite infringement involved when players use Glide in Blizzard games.

So for all you cheaters out there, you are not only cheating, you are also breaking the law.

I will bet that many of these add-on writers are wishing Michael Donnelly, the writer of Glide had settled as this case is going to make case law for this eventuality.

I am sure Mythic is watching this case with great interest as they have always battled cheaters in DAoC and with War coming up you can bet the cheat program writers are getting ready for a land office season.

Google "MMORPGMaker" if you want to make your own MMORPG.

Score one for the good guys!

Maybe there should just be the option to skip the game, and pay for any level character you want, like 14.95 per level.

It's only a matter of time until Blizzard brings RMT into WoW.  There is sooooo much money out there that they are losing out to the gold farmers.

I'm glad the case got resolved this way.  There was really no way that the guy was going to beat out a billion dollar company in court.  When you log onto the game you agree to play by their rules.  Simple as that.

I''ll snatch you bald-headed!

"Neither side prevailed entirely in this round. Blizzard won summary judgment in its copyright claims; Donnelly won summary judgment on part of the DMCA claim. The rest will be resolved later, meaning the case continues until there's a settlement--or a trial and eventual verdict."

Well I guess that means I'm not going to buy boxes anymore since I'm not really buying anything.

Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
if I were to kill a titan tomorrow and no CCP employees showed up to say grats I would petition it.
Waiting for: the next MMO that lets me make this macro
if hp < 30 then CastSpell("heal") SpellTargetUnit("player") else CastSpell("smite") end

last i checked your buying the game. All you need to do is go on playing your game, and not cheat and use third party programs.
