You mean other than the fact that Blizzard has already stated countless times that these are completely within the TOS and EULA and acceptable?  Yes Multi-boxing is acceptable as long as it's not automated.

At the end of the day, it's Blizzards software and their game.  So, if they have stated it's okay... then I'm fine with that.  I'd just like to see it in writing with a little more detail (from them) on what methods of multi-boxing they accept. 

Really, I'd like that in writing to protect me... because I multi-box in WoW and have in other games as well.

Ok, now we are getting to the heart of the matter.  You used it and would like to continue to use it and don't like the fact that Blizzard is taking steps to shut it down.  Fair enough, but lets stop with all the talk about it infringing on your rights and all the other BS that you brought into this argument.

Believe me, I understand where you're coming from.  My own son got his account shut down in the last big ban by Blizzard.  When I talked to him, he admitted using the software and I told him well you got caught and you knew it was against the TOS and knew the chance you were taking.  He was okay with it as was I.  He's not a bad kid, he just didn't want to spend the time that was required to level his character up to 70 so he used a shortcut and got caught and lost the priviledge of playing.  He has since started a 2nd account and is playing bot free.  Maybe he has learned a lesson.

Honestly, I don't use it anymore either, I just play from about 11pm to 1am now. Impacts a little sleep, but I get to play the game.

My major problem with all this is big business shutting down intellectual people, for the sake of a dollar.

People whine bitch and complain about botters, just as you said your son, he isn't a bad kid. I can also say, your son didn't impact wow like all these people are making it out to be.

Gliders glide in remote regions of the game world. They bother noone, they just level up.

People are pissed though because while your son was out playing baseball and I was out enjoying a nice steak dinner with my wife. The bot got me 5 levels that day. These other people had to get a sore ass, pimples from lack of sunshine and mind numbing frustration to get the same 5 levels.

We chose to use our brain and take a shortcut to get what we wanted. They chose to make their ass numb. Don't get mad at us for being smarter than you.

On a side note.

I have 3 legit 70's in wow. All 3 of them were a pain in the ass. Took way more time than I wanted to invest. I got um there though so it's cool.

Like it or not some people don't find leveling in wow very fun. Myself, I like wow's end game and pvp.

The 1-70 grind though, eh not so much.

I only grinded 1 character, never got caught. Was it worth it, hell yeah it was worth it, I had so much more fun in real life than I would have playing the grind.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I could still be botting like I said there are lots of bots out there. All of them good and some of them not detectable.

However, wow is a good game, it has it's fun moments, it just isn't ALL fun.

No, you chose to cheat instead of playing the game like you were supposed to.

Now you are lying to yourself and claiming you are somehow independent from WoW and have a life because you used a bot program.

You are not smarter than anyone else, you just prefer to cheat in life to get ahead. In the end cheaters get caught and no one will stand by your side.

 Umm it takes more brains to play the game then to use a 3rd party program someone else made to bot it. No one signed away any rights we just mainly all agreed we are sick and tired of the gold farmers and botters that ruin the game for us.

  The drones are the ones to lazy to even play the game yet decide they have to play a game they don't enjoy to be like everyone else. If its sheer mind numbing stupidity as you say then may i ask why are you playing, urr sorry Botting it?

You sound just like the students I teach when they get caight cheating. Cheating is the easy way out and it does not make you smarter.
 

So how are you so smart? Because you can find the illegal program and install it and use it to level? That does not make you smarter.

Cheat all you want but in the end, I know I leveled my characters legally and fairly. I like playing the game and not just aspects of the game.
 

but please "shortcuts" make nobody smarter....just makes them look dumber when they get caught.

The strong step on the weak to get ahead. People step on others to get what they want. Ever wonder how most people get all these fancy cars and huge houses? You think they get them by working hard and playing by all the rules? No they get them by crushing opposition, being the best at what they do by any means they can.

Same applies to the gaming world. Some rules can be bent, others can be broken. It will continue this way forever.

Freedom allows for this. The only way to stop this would be to stop every ounce of freedom in everything.

To not bend or break a rule it must not have the room to do so. If you every completely lock something down to the point it has no freedom to be shaped, what do you have?
