There is no PvP on the game. I think there's a trial period/first month free when you subscribe at Play Sega, also the Xbox 360 version has a demo download in the market place, but you need a Gold account in order to play it.

It has been a long time for me, but this is how I remember it. No PvP. When you subscribe, you get some extra free time added to the first month, but there is no free period before being billed or free trial offered.
