Lately I had been feeling disappointed by a lot of the news coming out of WAR but things like guild wars are what really matter and what can make the game fun. I've always thought guild VS guild is where it's at, who actually cares about their 'faction'? Most people have characters on both sides in faction based PvP games anyway. However guild competition is very fierce. It is much more fun to fight for the honor and glory of a guild that you really feel a part of rather than a faction of faceless people driven by NPC story.

My question:
In DAoC it was not possible, to have characters in different realms on the same server (less realm-espionage).
How is it managed in WAR?

btw imho it is pretty lame to join a new game with a full guild, planned already in closed beta or a previuos game. Less socializing in a realm.

Same way. You cannot have an Order character and Destruction on the same server.

Its the same way...if your ona server with a destruction char you can't make an Order char.  etc etc.

btw totally agree on the premade guilds.   My friends and I are going in unguilded..we may start one or we may look around and try out a few till we find one that fits with what we're looking for.

You won't be able to have characters from both realms on the same server. It's the same as DAoC.

I don't think it's the end of the World, or this game will be bad because of it, but it does scare me.  Changing major design elements this close to launch can have major side effects.

What he said.

Hrm, the class cut hurt a bit...

But I really don't mind them pushing back 4 of the cities.

It's like releasing more Raid Content as time goes on, and it will allow people to understand the City concept without having to deal with 3 choices.

Think of how much fighting will be going on with just 2 cities.

Then when 4 are available, people will begin to think tactics, strategy, and the penalties of inadequate defense.

When 6 are there, then WAR will be at it's peak on the RvR. Cities changing hands and rewards flowing back and forth.

Then it will be time for them to introduce and expansion pack. Something new.

Experience shows that stuff that is cut before release, rarely make it into the game later, since after launch MMOs usually follow a completely different direction, due to the players feedback and interaction with the systems. See VG's cut features (inquisitor class, boat combat, tails) or even WoW (hero classes, sieges). You can very well forget about those cities and classes.

I can ride my bike with no handlebars

I think you fail at making a list with the features. All these things you mention are either unconfirmed rumors, to be cut, duplicates, insignificant details or things you just got out of your head.

And what are "living" guilds anyway?

if you realy think than info is false go watch the podcast the menchoin all of what he says and about 4x more content he messed

Your wrong. I don't even feel like backing myself up. You are just plainly and simply wrong. That's my opinion of course. GW would shove a steel toed boot up Mythic's ass if they didn't put the cities back in.
