Blizzard said that there new mmo is not going to be based off any of there existing games or franchises, but is going to be completely new, so i d ont think either of those c hoices will be there next mmo release, but if they were going to make an mmo based on either of those 2 i would hope for starcraft. playing eq2 and two worlds |

I hadn't heard that response, only that it was going to be a next gen MMO. I don't believe they gave any specifics. If you have a link to your information I'd love to read it if you could link it here. |

From what Blizzard Activision has said, it will apparently be a new IP.

Something tells me since Blizzard has the fantasy side wrapped up that they are going with something new and innovative with a set audience that won't drag away numbers from WoW. My guess is because of Activision and the ties it has, they will come up with the first Skateboard MMO. Makes sense, but it is only a guess I have no information to back that up. In the end we will have to see what they come up with.

Your second poll isn't exactly fair. I don't really care what the new MMO is to be honest, as I'm totally occupied at the mo, but I don't think WoW sucks.  |

I think blizz next MMO will be a totally new IP. Blizzard is a smart company. What's the one MMO everyone here wishes would still be around? SWG Pre-CU/Nge
Watch blizzard release a Sci-fi 3rd person shooter MMO sandbox!! LOL! If they do they will own the MMO market totally.

even tho i think that almost everyone will disagree with me here, but id love to see a full out diablo mmo universe. the current one is online but it has the acts and its more of a singleplayer/mmo kinda, hard to explain. but imo, itd be awesome to see a wow'ish diablo game, but it has to be dark, gloomy, and gritty. |

I don't think the game will be a new IP, but a Starcraft MMOFPS or MMORTS. I don't think Blizzard has declared specifically that they won't be using an existing IP for the new MMO, but rather that they wan to work on something new and innovative and not just WoW 2. |

Gives the poll a more neutral feel and more credibility. :-) |
