Will this be free or at least got a system the way Anarchy online does? This looks really cool

No, this won't be free. It will most likely work the same way as City of Heroes and City of Villains currently do. It'll cost an upfront fee to buy the game, and then a monthly fee to play the game. I doubt it'll be like Guild Wars (one time fee), as Cryptic's prior games (though marketed by NC Soft) were pay to play. |

I would say its very likely to cost $ 14.99 per month. Upfront cost $50-60.
But the game is looking to be well worth it in my eyes. |

I think the game will launch as a paid game with a subsciption fee and will after 3-4 months become like guild wars for a time, before they remove all the fees and introduce an item mall.
The game is nice though I wouldn't pay for it, I don't like the graphics and I doubt I'll stay there for more than a month anyway. |

Oh brother, another one of those who thinks that just because something's on the internet, it must be free. I get tired of buying a game, paying a monthly subscription rate, then seeing people like this one come out of the woodwork looking for a freebie. Where do you think the money comes from to develop these things, Sunshine? Santa Claus? |

Like City of Heroes, World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, Age of Conan, and all the other MMO's that follow this structire, Champions Online will ALWAYS be a upfront fee to buy the game and then a monthy fee to play the game. If you don't like it, then go to the Game List page and find a free MMO that will bore you within hours. |

If a game is good then I'd eagerly pay 15 bucks a month for it. MMORPGs like these require 15 bucks a month to keep updating frequently and keeping the game at a fun pace with more and more content. The only reason this works for games that don't have monthly fees such as GWs is because they either use an item mall (which GWs is starting to do) or release a huge amount of expansions that you pretty much have to buy to enjoy the game. 15 bucks a month is chump change to me. But 15 bucks multiplied by half a million certainly is alot for them. Like I said, I'll easily support a game that I enjoy to make sure it continues on a fun path. |
