MapleStory is a highly addictive game. Once you start playing, you'll be stuck to it. If you consider playing the 2D MMORPG, then use your time wisely.

 Nexon is the publishing company, they published the game in 2005. Nexon also created in-game cash called Nexon Cash. Nexon Cash can be purchased from the website, or from stores around the U.S. and Canada. When you purchase it, you will first want to spend it all. When the time comes your Nexon Cash will disappear, items one by one. The reason of this is because Nexon is trying to get you to by more cash. Make a wise choice!

 Wizet created the game. Wizet is not the one to blame when your Nexon Cash gets taken away. When you see a Game Master (GM), it means you've spotted a person from the Wizet Staff. You will rarely see GM's throughout the game. This is because the GM's hide in invisible mode, which is not available to characters. On the other hand, GM's work for Wizet, they help block the game from hackers. But unfortunately, thousands of hackers roam the land of MapleStory.

 When you first start MapleStory, you will choose your gender of all your characters, once decided, it will be irreversible. Then, choose a server. The best server would be either Scania or Bera, both are very busy worlds. You will then make a character. At level 10 you can become a Warrior, Bowman, or Thief. But at level 8 you can become a Magician, you choose. You will start your journey off at Maple Island, where you'll find lots of newbs like yourself. Then, once you level 7, you may choose to either stay at Maple Island, or train at Victoria Island.

 When your at Victoria Island, you will meet lots of people to answer your questions. Unfortunatly, people known as Noobs don't like to spend their time answering your dumb questions. But not everyone is a noob. In my rating, MapleStory is a 8/10 game. Wizet is missing the point of the game, why we play it.

Even though I'm in Scaina, I don't think Bera or Scania would be the best. There's too much people and items there are expensive as hell. x_x

 MapleStory in my opinion is a piece of shit. Wheres the point of playing it? If there was a better point, than I'd play it more often.

 Also prices are all the same in any server, items are as expensive as hell. But I recommend Scania or Bera because they have better boss teams, and more lv. 200's.

Lol, you say its great..then you say its Sh*t..hmm...and how the hell is it addictive? All you do is fight..fight..fight some more..and your occasional quest which requires more fighting!! Asian grinding at its finest

Whats you discribed is...pretty much any MMO. I mean fighting monster/mob is the basic of an MMO. Most players do expect to kill monster from the start.

Well for one thing maplestory was pretty addictive until i got bored at a certain point. The game just fails with puting endgame content. The level cap is way too high and then when you hit the cap there is nothing to do.

True. MS has never really been addicting to me but its been fun. The thing I look foward to at high level is the boss monsters, but otherwise..like you said its a fail at endgame content..

90% Of playing motivation in maple story comes from the "interesting" skill graphics, "Elite" equipment and being well known within the game.

Since you guys seem to like it, I just say its "ok". But if you compare it to time, its a waste of time.

It's a shame that people waste their money buying NX to make their character to look cool when they can buy good games like WoW.

Whoa! Over 400 hours in Maple Story. That sucks. You could have been playing some AAA titles, similar to the LoZ series.

1. You pick your server first, then you make a character

2. There are noobs, and then there are newbs. Newbs are people who are new to the game, and are generally inexperienced. Noobs are ignorant fools who dont listen to anyone and make outrageous unfounded claims about the mechanics of the game. (Such as having +40luk shoes or something)

I really hate it when people always SAY "PLAY WOW"

Come on' not all gamers will play WOW for pete's sake.
