I wear a tin-foil sailor hat- so I can look stylish AND the government can't read my mind... |

After I quit WoW my ife began to go downhill, my grades dropped, my girlfriend dumped me, and overall I became much more withdrawn from community. I think I would call this an addiction recovery but when I played WoW my grades were fine etc. I may actually come back even though at times I find the game annoying... Food for thought |

Sorry to have upset you. Damian, I'd argue more so that people lack responsibility. They'll quickly toss blame on Blizzard rather than upon themselves; see all the accusations of forced raiding. Ico |

To the OP, is PiMP worth it, I'm a PMI member but as I don't do much PM work anymore I never bothered with certification. |

It sounds to me like you all lack self control. Which is a failing of your parents. You should sue them, it makes as much sense as blaming WoW for preventing you from doing something. Lets just keep blaming in animate objects and other people, it CANT be OUR Fault can it?
Hold your self accountable for your own actions, its something adults do. |

after i quit wow my life kind of started to suck, i had nothing to fill the 6 hours gap in my day, my best friend still plays and doesnt wanna hang out during his playtime that he's able to and we cant talk anymore, i keep thinking about other things to do besides wow thus not allowing me to truley focus on anything, i figured i'd go for my permit even though there's nothing interesting near me to drive to and i failed many times because i would just not focus i'd wonder how my hunter was doing all lonely in the log-on screen.. I basically just sit on my comp downloading games that i either dont play or delete 3 minutes after character creation... oh and i started shaving again... ----------------------------- |

OP you could've managed those things while playing a mmo
I play mmos and I have the highest grade possible in ~65%+ (not able to check exactly) of my completed courses. I go to a secondary upper school, tech stuff. programming, databases, logic gates, networking (I got highest grade possible in the Cisco networking academy course :D) thought it would be cool to mention since Cisco is well known :P

I've started working out 4-5 days a week and am now taking 33credits this summer, all while quitting a horrible, horrible job. Its exhilarating!! "And after blizzard takes over the world, they are gonna gather a bunch of lemmings, sit on their fat asses near a cliff, and watch the little fuzzy bastards suicide dive into the ground below. . . . . all just for their own entertainment." |

I got banned from my guild forum for mentioning the outside world. QQ Trammies need to stop polluting the MMORPG landscape. They already have enough games in which to emote hugs and sell garbage by the banks. |

I quit WoW for a year in 2006-2007. In that time I got promoted, hit 6 figures, put 10000 miles on my bike touring the west, did some reading, started playing LOTRO (great game). I was lured back to WoW, but I don't play as much as I used to, and am considering hanging it up again until the expansion. I haven't logged in for 2 weeks and it's been nice. |

1. Went outside, never realised how much the sun burns... 2. Went back to other games i'd been neglecting 3. Found Penny Arcade, this saved me from relapsing after helping me realise some things i needed to know about mmo's 4. Burn, burn, burn |

Well first I went out and picked up a small addiction to crack, it is really nothing big I can quit anytime. Then I started playing basketball alot more even though I am not black. Started playing for 5 dollars a game I won twice lost once. Then I sold my account for 120 dollars and bought some shit I probably will never use again. I then starting watching espn alot for some reason. So ugh yeah nothing to great and nothing real bad has happened.... |
