We know a Starcraft mmo is in the making. If they just WoW clone, add a few unique things. You literally could sell the same product with a different label. I think Blizzard can do it, and I think it would work. |

Behold! Rash of the Itch King comes in November! Quake in fear! |
Starcraft is a ripoff of Warhammer 40K with less depth (in my opinion of course). And a 40K MMO is in the works, should be out in a few years. |

Sorry was just talking about Lore lol. I think it'd work too, but they'd have to put enough new features in it, not just the setting, because even WoW fans get tired of raiding or grinding sometimes. I'd hope they'd take some focus off of gear and put it onto skill. |

I'll play it. I love starcraft, and Blizzard makes damn good games. WoW was fun, add more, better graphics, and good guy space marines shooting bad guy monster aliens in space: 5 Stars. I cant wait. Why does everyone think Starcraft is a Warhammer 40k ripoff anyways? What do they really have in common, besides being in space? |

We just assume its Starcraft, because Blizzard stated they will not make WoW 2, and Diablo 3 has already been announced. They are still hiring for a "Top Secret MMO", which cant be Diablo because Diablo was just announced. |

Going off of past history, perhaps. However, I think it's fair to assume that WoW has established certain benchmarks for all MMOs in the market to meet and exceed in order to be commercially viable. If a game were to be nearly the same as WoW, I doubt it would get very many customers. Many consumers expect more out of MMORPGs nowadays - not just the same old crap that has been pushed through time and time again (this can explain the commercial failures of some new MMOs out there). We want new content, goddamnit! If a Starcraft MMO is indeed in the works, Blizzard better create some new features that can make the game distinguishable as leader, not a follower in the market (or they can just market a supposed slew of differences and hope that the box sales offset the costs of production *cough*AoC*cough*).
