Behold! Rash of the Itch King comes in November! Quake in fear! |
Four capital cities were cut. Four classes were cut. This much is true, but they were cut from release, NOT permanently. Mythic never said "we're never going to implement these things so shut up and get used to it." No, they said they wanted to focus their energies on two polished cities and 20 classes that were fun and functional so people wouldn't complain later on about broken Choppas, Knights, Hammerers, or Blackguards. Best case scenario is these things are put back in the game post-launch as quickly as possible, perhaps a few months with a free patch. The cities would probably come first and then the classes, since the classes would have to probably be redone and redefined so they would fit. Worst case scenario is these things are never put in game or they're added in a year or two later through a paid expansion or two. The point is, they've taken four cities and four careers out for the LAUNCH, not forever. Just wanted to point this out. Everyone's talking about the downfall of WAR now, and I think they're overreacting a bit. Don't get me wrong, I'm not completely happy about this decision - but I have enough sense to at least wait and see how it turns out. |

Everything is fine. People will moan and groan and considering some people can t read and need things explained i thank you for spelling it out for them. If WAR had say 10-12 classes and they took out 2-3 then ya thats big but 1/6th big deal. The cities are not a big thing they ll be added and finished, so release will be met. I personally don t care if they re ever put in because a 3 front battle for 1 city each means more concentrated battles, thats funner to me. |

Thing is that they were hyped up features that are not in the game at release . If EA is 100% behind mythic in development then why not let them make the game as intended from the drawing board to release in their own time??? If EA were so wonderful how come the postponement? MJ - " Folks, we are loving being part of EA, they let us have the freedom to make the game how we want it and in our own time" So whose fault is it? EA pushing on Mythic, or Mythic because their schedule is all over the place?
Promised features not in for release - you only have to see the AoC boards for the reality.

They will probably put in 2 cities at a time during expansions. That way we're not overloaded with 4 new cities to conquer right away. No idea how they will plan the return of the classes, maybe group them in 2s also with their counterparts like hammerer and choppa to keep things balanced. The cities to return first probably go with the classes they return too I bet. |

Everygame cuts stuff, the only reason people know this is because they tell them. WoW was supposed to have a ton of crap at launch that didn't make it.( battlegrounds, hero class, fun ) The only problem with cutting stuff is that sometimes they never come back. These seem like very minor cuts, but remember never buy a game with a feature missing that you want based on a promise that it will come.

If we never had it actually we'll never miss it if they don't add it later. That said I expect the classes at least to be added in fairly quickly post-launch. Besides, who in the modern over-hype MMORPG market actually believes all the pre-launch hype? |

Even if they did release the game in full people would still have found a way to bitch, and cry (class balance, bug, and bad city design ect ect.)
Me im happy with less content it gives me more time to learn the quirks of the first city and master it and thus be ready for the other cities when they come out. |

Honestly, my only problem now is that there is one Ork class. One. There were only two before, which though limited, atleast gave us a small bit of variety. I only pray we get Choppas back in later. |

Shangon - Orcs are too iconic in the Warhammer world to leave it at just one class, I expect to see more in time, the chopper being back sooner rather than later. |
