Anyway, I played WoW since 1 week after release and enjoyed every moment of it up until the dailies came out. After grinding so many dailies until my eyes bled, I decided that it was time to look for something else. I miss my ingame friends, but resubbing is not worth it for me. Eventually WoW will go by the wayside, long time from now probably, but still it will happen. Carthage fell, Rome fell, it took years but it did happen. WoW is in decline in my opinion, they will get some people back with the expansion, but after all is said and done, they will realize that it is just the same old thing, new continent, new levels and new spells. The standard MMO formula needs a boost, I cannot think of any games coming soon that may be that boost, but I sit by waiting patiently. Until then I will be in the World of Telon.
Man if you ever wanted justification in calling a game crack it's dailies. Oh crap I have to work in 1 hour and I have to squeeze my dailies in I hope not too late to work. Or you're about to go to bed and you're like oh nuts I forgot to do my dailies, then you go to bed a couple hours later. Only other time I ever brought this up I was made fun of but really what is an addiction, something you have to do at certain intervals of time usually at the detriment of your health or work or something like that. |

Blackrock Mountain pvp > areNAH. Also how can not miss late night BRD emp runs?! 5hrs of pure epicness. It's as though they downgraded WoW with TBC. |

Originally posted by shae Yeah they took priority of PvE over PvP. I don't think the PvErs are complaining that much. You can't please everyone but lets face it, wow in current form is a PvE centric game. All people are saying is that there hopefully wil come a good PvP centric game in the future for them to play. Unfortunately, there are not really any really good ones out atm to satiate PvPers. WoW is a PvE success no doubt about it. But a PvP failure in many respects at the same time. But like you said you can't balance PvP around a PvE game. It's really hard. WoW is a PvE game with PvP as a remote afterthought. |

Blizzard has never gone for graphics alone, because it has been shown again and again to not have staying power. You want a ledgendary game like Starcraft? Design it well, and it won't matter what it looks like. |

You all talk about how WoW isn't bringing any groundbreaking ideas into the mmo market...Maybe this is because they don't want to risk having a game that actually does poorly, so my conspiracy theory is that they are secretly funding Dark Fall to try out a ton of new ideas in a mmo that they can absorb into a good triple A title. |

It wasn't doing any worse pre-TBC. Only reason TBC was so successful is because classic WoW set it up for success. TBC totally destroy classic WoW's greatness.
