Well you see system specs are the later things a developer worries about. They already know their graphics engine is designed to run on several year old machines, to prevent the hassle of their unoptimized game, they only allow high end machines at first so anyone playing will be able to run the game well. There's a lot of things more important like actually having a good game. It's not until later and near completion, when they've been continually refining the graphics will they invite slower machines to help test the graphics and make it more streamline/efficient. |

Once again people like you over hyping games just to be let down once it goes live. I can't wait to see all the whining about WAR once it releases. I am gonna sit back with a beer and just laugh.

Well of course there's gonna be people whining about WAR once it goes live. There are always gonna be people whinin' about the release of a game they've been waiting for forever. Same goes for people who are disappointed by the release of a book or a movie they have been waiting years for... The way I see it, there are a lot of people who have to complain about something... Either that, or people are just unhappy that games don't come with cookie and milk dispensers.... |

I honestly think the Anit-War Whiners whine more than War fans hype the game. The only people that will whine are going to be the people that didn't look into any information about the game and had misconceptions about something. Not to mentiont that NDA drop will clear most of the baseless whining ahead of the release. As for the biggest launch? It will certainly be up there. I mean a release in China, Russia, EU, Oceanic, and NA...how is it not going to be big? 750k beta applicants-hows it not going to be big again? But really it will be people like you trying to make a bigger deal out of game issues people have then they really are. So sit back and watch the forums all you want getting drunk and wallowing in self pity. I and hundreds of thousands of other people will be online cracking skulls and having fun. |

I know full well that a game on day 01 cannot possibly have all the features of a game with 4 years of life and a expansion but I also know in a very heavy pvp game to wait 6 months will make it alot harder then to deal with life in release of a new mmo |

OP, according to warhammeronline's beta ticker, 762,013 ppl has applied for beta so far. Of course everyone can't get an invite. I applied in June 07, and got my invite for the EU beta 2 months later. |

And this is why you should never, never ever get into any beta for any game. You simply want a chance to play the game before release. where those of us that actually try to improve the game tend to get picked for beta's more often then others. You don't want to beta test, you want to take a test drive. |

He isn't trying to take your beta spot and not much will change in 1 month from Open Beta testers. So in the end, Open Beta will basically be your free glimpse of the game. |

That way when the game goes live, if the developers and the testers did their parts the players will spend more time playing than posting about the problems on forums like these :) With that said there has to be BOTH sides working, working together. The testers doing everything they can to find and report the smallest of bugs to the largest of exploits. Then the developers have to take that information and fix those issues. |

I've been signed up for well over a year now I'm pretty sure. Still no sign of getting in...
Anyone have any idea when they'l begin the Open beta? Cant be too far off... I'd even pay for a crappy fileplanet subcsription just to get an early taste of the game, im anxious to find out if we've finally got the brilliant MMO were all wanting, rather than Age of Potential.
But that said i'm having alot of fun in Middle Earth right now :) |
