| As a customer I don't have to know how to make a better game than you. I just need to know where the cancel button is. |

Sad to say I never heard of Warhammer Alliance before now. And after seeing this, I feel no need to bother with it now. This is the problem with fansites that think they are entitled ( the old STO.net was another case of this ). Very nice reply from Jacobs, also. You can tell he wanted to go off, but he maintained his professionalism. Kudos to him for that. |

Well, it looks like Mark Jacobs clearly dominated that little spat according to the majority of the mmorpg community: approximately 90% vs. 10% Most of the 10% are probably just WoW or AoC fanboy trolls. |

Browncoat is... meh. I never thought his "articles" where all that great but god forbid if you say that there or offer some tips to better the "articles". This latest one was stretching his analytical skills I think and it's nice to see Mark Jacobs lay down the law. |

Well Mark articulated that debate pretty well and I dub him the winner! The only critique I have is that he probably didn't need so many words to prove his point. Anyway, he is absolutely right and I look forward to hearing about the new information. |

I have to agree. The very fact that Mark Jacobs responded the way he did does make me that a sore spot was hit and he went straight into defensive mode. EA Mythic can release information in any way they wish since it's their game however I am noticing a weird trend. That is the constant talking about different aspects of the game. Yes that's good but really why all the production value when they simply could update the site with text and be done with it. It is a lot of smoke and mirrors I feel to in the end say very little. Take the crafting videos that were put up a little while ago with Mark Jacob. I was so bored during it. I wanted to hear about the crafting. I honestly could have cared less about the reasoning behind it. Just what could be done and what couldn't be done. Yes or no to recipes. An actual video of the crafting process would have been useful but nothing even close to that. Even then it could have been been stated in a LOT fewer words. So on that front I think one does have an argument with how EA Mythic presents the little information they do put out (by making it seem it's bigger and more important then it really is in the end). |
