This is a strange problem, and I'm not sure exactly what is wrong here.  I have 2 accounts, one is a 14-day trial account that I just started, and the other is a vet account from July 2004, the vet account has none of the expansions except for Jump to Lightspeed when it was made free.

I can start the game and play fine on the new trial account, but when I click "Play" on the vet account, I get an error telling me to run a virus/spyware scan, and in the minidump.log file, it says

SwgClient_r.exe-stage.175165-20080709155315.txt unknown location : FATAL 4d962776: datatables/manifest/skufree.iff could not be found. Are your paths set up correctly?

Since the game runs fine on the new account, I don't think that I'm missing any files, and several re-installs from the trial and from my old CDs have proven to be useless.  If anyone has any ideas I would much appreciate it.  I tried using the Live Chat Tech Support, and the TSR was just telling me to update my drivers and check connectivity and stuff like that... not very helpful.

It may be helpful to know that I have not played on the vet account for about 6 months or more, and I'm only playing because of the free time that is offered with the 5-year anniversary.

It's like you have some file in bad shape. Click on full scan or if you're on the station launcher go to options -> preferences -> SWG and something like delete cache analisis.

Also if're with the old launcher and the full scan doesen't work, download the station launcher and see if it boots from there:

Come back and tell us how that went.

bunch of people have had this problem and I cut and paste some info into another thread almost identical and it must have worked cause the guy is not back .

The old vet accounts that have not been opened up recently seem to be missing some files for those characters.   The fix SEEMS to be to use the trial and reinstall free and forget about any disks etc.   Also you have a message about a missing path.

your gonna groan but if this were me I would remove all the SWg software and use a registry cleaner because it looks like its trying to find a file in a folder placed elseswhere and then I would probably do a defragment

after that reboot it all again and reinstall but use only the free trial version as there is a file that is somehow missing for those people who just are opening up vet accounts in chapter 10.    The rest of us seem to have no issue if our account was reopened say a month ago or so.

Sounds aweful I know but they have a thread on the main forums asking people to pm them as they are trying to diagnose the problem.  If you can't post you might want to put in a support ticket as well.

I should probably put this thread into a file somewhere so i can link without going back and looking for it.  However this thread has a ton of fixes or information on about every type of crash you can imagine (hopefully yours is in there too however it sounds like a registry problem to me)

Station Launcher: After it finishes scanning and I click Launch game, the launcher minimizes, and nothing else happens, but when I went back to the Launchpad, it sent 3 logs (I tried 3 times in the station launcher), and minidump.log says:

Full scan and TREFix.exe say that there is nothing wrong, and since I can play on the new trial account, I can't disagree with that.

I've tried uninstalling the game, deleting the star wars galaxies and sony folders, deleting all registry entries related to sony and the game, and then re-installing the game from the trial downloaded as of yesterday.  Could this problem be because I don't have any of the expansions on the vet account and for some reason the game doesn't know how to interpret that?

I never had issues with that and I had one account with all the expansions and one with only the original for awhile but its possible.    The trial is supposed to be the fix you clean up your hard drive etc and then install the trial and then do a full scan and supposedly that works.    Other then that maybe its a vista problem cause lots of people have that one, but i have no idea if your using vista :)

That is the exact same error this guy is having on the main forum and the fix was the trial err I think

actually i got it backwards and they say use the old copy of launchpad from your disk and not the trail one from the site as they used the "b" word for beta :)
