I signed up for Beta almost 2 years ago.

Yeah some of us have been signed up since the day the betacenter opened and no dice.

I just upgraded my computer and I have a Gamesday code so I'm hoping I get in this round.

EA/Mythic appears to be pretty fickle about who has gotten into the closed portions over the last year that the Beta has been running. Most of that has been (from what I gathered) up to machine spec and when you signed up. There are lots of people that registered on day 1 when it was available, and still aren't in.

I too remain hopeful, but to be truthful I don't expect to get in like most other people, and simply wait for the Open Beta where CE owners get their turn.

I would rather wait until open beta. That way the game will be finished. I don't want to play a buggy unfinished game. If I wanted to do that I would play AOC

LOL I did too! And I loved the OP's response!

I applied like a year ago or whatever and I still have yet to get in, I even got a new computer with top of the line upgrades recently and re-submitted my diagnostic so hopefully I will get in! I just hope Beta testers do their job and report bugs and submit FEEDBACK on the content to the devs.

For the moment I'm enjoying Age of Conan.

That's it? I have been a member of the newsletter the first week they had sign-ups as well as signing up for beta the first day you could.

6 months is that all?!  and you think you deserve in after only 6 months?  Give me a break.  This is WAR!  This is the biggest MMO release in history.  Shoot I've been in there for a year and a half and never got a shot.

A lot of things can be the reason you don't get into beta including:

What you wrote for previous beta experience

Reasons you want to beta test

Where you live

Computer Specs

and associations.

Actual beta signups have only been open for a little over a year(Believe 5/31 was the actual first day of sign ups).  Don't remember when newsletter started though.

It all comes down to... how long ago you registered, previous mmo experience, and computer specs.  Note about the specs, having the biggest and baddest does not get you into a beta any faster than having a mid range 2-3 year old system.  Most fo the time they want a wide variety of system specs/hardware configs to try and account for as many system oriented bugs as possible.

You would think they'd want a wide variety of systems - but by all accounts it is upper tier systems that have made or broken someone getting into beta to this point.

I think Beta 3, starting any day now will mark the first opening of the gates to a wider range of system requirements...

Actually when I got into beta my specs were not that good at all and I had recently registered before I got accepted. I don't even have Veteran Newsletter Status on my beta center account. My computer had a RadeonX1600 graphics card, 2 gigs of ram, and it was a single core 3.0 ghz processor. Just two weeks ago I upgraded and got a gaming laptop with 4 gigs of ram, a 2.5 dual core ghz processor ( 2x 2.5 ), that can be overclocked to 3.0 each core, and a 8800m gts 512. So my computer got much better but when I was accepted I had not been signed up for the newsletter long nor had even a nice computer. I do have a ton of mmo experience but I know a guild mate of mine that has only about a year of mmo experience if even that and he is in beta as we.
