Yeah I will go out on a limb to say 8months max from now SOE will take on AOC. Strong start but a failing ride.  Vanguard was a prime example we will wait and see when AOC becomes a SOE product next.

AoC hate is one thing, crazy AoC hate is just plain stupid.

Not incredibly hard to see whether or not the server pops are dropping or not.  However, to the OP, never.  Funcom have already started development on a new mmo and, like Anarchy Online, it will go to ad supported free to play before it gets shuffled off to SOE.  Most likely though, within the next month or two the pop will stabilize and it will generate enough revenue to keep Funcom trudging along as they have for the past several years.  I would wager that in about 2 months both the US and EU recurring subs will be around 500k total.

This number will most likely take a hit as WotLK, TCoS, and Warhammer are released.

I LOL so hard at that. 1million subs!!! LMAO..........Funcom had announced all subs and beta accounts to show the increased sub number which is way off. Google! They have less then 400k actual sub accounts from a funcom leak employee who stated it.

Also Funcom is out to make money, they will not even think for one minute that if they are doing bad that they wouldn't sell. SOE is a huge factor today when it comes to buying second hand MMO's and making them better. Funcom would not brush off a business deal with SOE if they needed the extra money to build the other new MMO they are working on. Fact is we all know how capable SOE is at buying other MMO's.

Glad you think my posts are wrong or bad in some way. Majority of my posts are in line with the same thoughts on guild forums, tally up the top 10 guilds on each server, visit their forums and read the same stuff. If the game was bad they wouldnt be playing and they make up more than half the current subs most likely.

AOC has about 450 000 active subs.  Thats in line with a 50% retention rate, what is the norm for this kind of games.

Now stop beign jaleous because AOC has 1 million subs, its gonna be the other way around funcom will buy SOE. Hell it might even buy sony entierly. Since aoc is such a great game the numbers of subs is going to go up up up. Even the wow fanbois will come to aoc. Funcom is gonna apply their special marketing plan that worked so well for AO and in a year or so aoc will be at the top.

But for now i'll just play minesweeper, less bugs, as much boobs, as much gore but much more fun.

The game had lots of hype.. face it, the mature rating and nakedness makes people all braindead zombies. As far as the actual game play/content went.. nothing really special. Decent combat mechanism, but thats all it had.
