I resurrected my account for the legends thing and I've convinced my friend to play with me. I was wondering if someone could suggest the best classes for him and me to pick to be as efficient as possible. |

So many of the classes work very well together it's really hard to just give some kind of ultimate combo. But guess if I had to then it's no different then other MMO's really. Tank/Healer combo to be most efficient. Be that Guardian/Templar...Shadow Knight/Fury so on.
You really need to include more info though,do either of you have some kinds of preference? There is alot of combinations that work together. And if you're on a pvp server that will likely be different as well. |

Well, the game finally finished updating so I made a wizard. So, the question turns into: what class would pair up well with a wizard? |

Good question - in my opinion with a wizard a healer isn't as important as the wizard is already so squishy. You might consider something like a conjuror - they are another heavy hitting class but their pets can tank, and they can heal the pet. Or if you want to go a bit safer you could try a fury, a healing class that also provides some nice damage. |

I would also say a pet class works very well with a wizard...Necro,Conj or Illusionist. |

I've had great luck running my wizard with an illusionist. If you include the illusionist personae (a kind of pet) then you have access to 3 roots and 3 stuns. And as long as you avoid using dot attacks, the illusionist is always free to mez should roots break (the illusionist has 3 mezzes, and the two single target ones can even be cast while moving!) Have the illusionist get the Time Compression skill early on so that he can put it on the wizard to have the big nukes back up quicker. The wizard brings heavy damage and the illusionist brings medium damage with excellent control; he covers the wizard's one weakness, which is the break-prone root. Illusionist root is so powerful, in fact, that will often use dot attacks on non-Heroic mobs. For heroic targets, avoid dot attacks, just double root, have wizard cast Ice Shape and Frostgift buffs and the illusionist cast his skill and Int buffs, and nuke fast; when root breaks mez and wait for heavy nukes to come back up. Easy once you get the hang of it! |

Oh, and don't forget to back the pet off before casting mez. Put the pet control Back Off in your hotbar. |
