EA Mythic has announced that Russia has been added to the list of countries for which Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning will be fully localized.

EA Mythic, a division of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS), today announced that Warhammer® Online: Age of Reckoning™ (WAR) will be released in Russia for the PC and will be fully localized. Along with MMORPG fans all over the world Russian gamers will have a chance to enjoy the rich world and extensive possibilities of one of the most anticipated MMORPG's of the year - Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.

"Over the past 25 years, Warhammer has become a beloved hobby experience around the world, and it is a honor to bring Age of Reckoning to the Russian fans," said Mark Jacobs, VP and General Manager of EA Mythic. "Russia's MMO industry is growing rapidly, and we consider it an important territory for Warhammer Online."

"We are very excited to bring Warhammer Online to Russian consumers, fully supported in the Russian language," said Tony Watkins, EA Russia Country Manager. "EA Russia has put together a highly experienced team for launch and consumers can expect an enormous level of support."

I plan to go to Russia, but this year, was hoping to play a good MMORPG for 2 months there.

Oh well, I guess theres more to do than sit on a computer

It appears, form the wording, that the Russian server won't fall under the dreaded GOA umbrella, any word on this, or if they would be able to join the player's on the US/AU or general EU servers?

This is good news for the Russians... Albeit I do hope they won't be under that "dreaded GOA umbrella"...
But, Juankis, it will most probably be GOA or an Asian server not US\Aus (if they do have any choice that is - which I doubt).

This is awesome! No more (Or at least phewer) people who cant understand english and must write everything with cyrillic letters! Another reason why Warhammer Online is going to be such a big hit! The gamers get rid of Russians!

btw,why has Warhammer Online err... why are people typing WAR if they are too lazy to write Warhammer Online? Why is it WAR instead of WHOAOR?

And to Dorkhan...  - if I understood your question right. It's not "Warhammer Online" as WAR is an acronym for Warhammer: Age of Reckoning. And that's the name people have given since 2006 or so. We could have called it "WARO" I guess! LOL
I know mmorpg.com have listed it as "WAR - Warhammer Online" but I think it's just there way to describe or give a "title" to WAR so it won't mislead people from other games (there's alot of Warhammer PC games out there - there was even at a time, some years ago, some other company producing a Warhammer mmorpg that never went forward).
I feel kinda dumb answering this anyway... oh well...
