All i can say, once AoC introduces DX10 before the end of the year, This game will explode with people...its going to be awsome...I have not played and enjoyed a good MMO in awhile...and AoC is providing just that...in the coming months this game is going to get insanely better...i applaud Funcom with a quality and most of all, and geat and fun game to enjoy a few hours a day on.....

  Call me crazy but...

  If DX was the only thing holding this game back....I doubt we'd hear from nearly as many haters.  Adding DX 10 really isn't going to save them one damn thing.  The people that cried about it were just grabbing for straws.  The problems Funcom faces now are well and beyond something as simple as adding DX 10 support.

Err how ill its population explode?

In order to run DirectX10 and the game at DirectX10 graphics you need a decent machine [not an average one] with Windows Vista [which many people distrust].

Also All DirectX 10 will do is provide prettier graphics, last i heard the graphics were not the main reason that people are leaving. Its things like Missing content, lag, Lack of high end grinding content and the lack of nakedness and blood [or so i hear].

I could be wrong but i believe Funcom said game was gonna be DX-10 when it shipped. OH thats right they LIED.

People had graphic issues to begin with using DX9, DX10 will be a nightmare, which is why they suddenly switched up in Dec-Jan. Graphics are not game breaking issues, game mechanics, core mechanics, missing content, borked systems etc.. All of which were heavily marketed as being in the game, hence the hype, hence all the people that purchased the game and the natural progression of Funcom misrepresenting a game  on a huge scale is massive amounts of players severley p*ssed off. And rightfully so. Your DX10 graphics will come sometime between fantasy and imagination.

DX10 will not fix anything, it will add a million other problems on top of the other issues it already has. But I got to love the optimism though

The OP doesn't know what he is talking about, in another thread he actually said that the crafting in AoC was good.

just remember graphics aren't everything and AOC has a LOT of work to do other than graphics at the present moment.

Agreed.  Eye candy is no substitute for smooth game play and actual content.
