don't see anything bad about it. Yes any age can be immature- these forums show you that, but grouping with kids- I'd rather not. I don't like having to be a 'parent' nor be open to their sudden departures because their parent has ordered them off the computer. |

EDIT : I think it is incredibly foolish for parents to give or let their kids use their credit card. I have had my own checking/debit account since I was fourteen, make the kids get a damn job and get their own credicard. |

I think if they implemented something like Yahoo games has with servers for different age ranges and then anything goes servers into MMO's it would be a great idea, Sure you have people that like to play in different age servers but for the most part it helped all the servers and helps players find players in their own age groups to play with. Yes there is always going to be people that should not be in there, but that way if you want to play with people in your own age range you can. It isn't hard to do and benefits young players as well as the old. It seems to work really good in yahoo games, why would that not work just as well in an mmorpg? Sure there can be family servers that encourage parents and kids to play together and have family friendly rules, and there can be anything goes servers where it is an enter at your own risk no chat filter area. Players will play where they feel comfortable and if they do not feel comfortable in those servers they will have servers they do feel comfortable in to play in. This benefits all players because those who want to use profanity will all flock to the anything goes servers and it will rid the kids, and family servers of all the bad language. . Since everyone wanting to use profanity will be in the anything goes areas there will be none of it on the rest of the servers. This would be a win- win situation for all players because they would have the freedom to choose where they want to play and what they want to have to listen to in the games. Creating anything goes servers as well as family friendly servers gives you the best of all worlds. |

Here's a novel Idea, how about booting jackarsess for foolishness like Verant used to do. Don't get me wrong..I'm a strong proponent of personal rights...long as they don't infringe upon mine. Somewhere along the way people forgot playing these games was a privilege not a right. You want to be a jerk do it in the comfort of you're own home. |

I believe that the best way to seperate mature and immature players from games is to make them difficult. By difficult I mean it should take a long time to level up and there should be a heafty death penalty. The quests should be hard to find and difficult to figure out how to complete. There should be forced grouping. I garuntee many people will get frustrated and leave. Of course this is not what companies want. They want to make as much money as they can so they want everyone they can get. |

I think it would weed out most of the people with low attention spans and lack of ability to figure out quests. For instance there are people who ask where something is in WoW or AoC for a quest even though there is an 'X' showing where the item is. These people would be gone likely. Of course even in games like EQ there required a lot of patience to play through to max level there were immature pepople, but it gets rid of some of them. As I said though the companies are more concerned with maximizing their money. |

most of the immature players are like 21 and up. im 13, people always think im like 30 cause i dont act like im a kid anymore. But i agree, some of the kids that play MMO's can get annoying. but i would say probably 3/4 of the childish players are 21 and up. Im just saying.....
