Tell us why you chose to be on the horde or the alliance. I joined the horde to avoid all the little kids on the alliance.

I dont need to
"get a life".
Im a gamer, I have
LOTS of LIVES!

Barrens chat.  I'm Alliance. LOL

Actually I just liked the low level Alliance quest lines a whole lot better than the Horde ones.  Plus I like to play female toons and have you seen the female Taurens?  I'm sorry, but they are scary. ;)

I've played both sides... In this order, mainly... Female Night Elf x2 -> Female Human -> Female Undead -> Male Orc -> Male Blood Elf -> Female Blood Elf

There was little to do with factions as a whole in my decisions, rather personal interest in character and playing with my friends consisted of the reasons for my choices.

I originally chose Night Elf at the release of WoW because I felt they were the most attractive race which suited my taste, though I probably always have and will despise gnomes and dwarves.

Although a lot of the Horde characters have great models, they mostly stray too far from a human-like form for me to completely appreciate. My original move to the horde side was to play with some of my friends. Blood Elf provided some relief for playing with an ideal avatar.

Somehow, when an avatar represents something that feels drastically different from an attractive human form, I feel less inclined to invest in that character... It should be noted that I do not and have never RPed.

I have run into annoying people in both factions, and I don't regard one side generally more or less mature than the other.

"A world which has to create its own justice is a world without hope."

I played Horde for a year or two, and alliance for about the same timeframe.

I liked Horde quests pre-BC, but for some reason i liked PvP as Alliance more.

My first toon was an Orc Warrier named Kronknar.  Because, really, why would you play anything else?

Unfortunately I saddled him with Blacksmithing, which is not something you want to do to your first character.  It's a horrible grind, most of the gear you can make is crap, and you're giving up tons of gold by not selling all those bars on the AH.  Quit when he was only 35 or so.

When I came back  afew months later, I rolled a Gnome Mage.  Because, really, why would you want to play anything else?

Got him up to 60, got my epic mount, and watched the game fall flat on it's face.  Both raiding and PvP were twice the 'nad masher back then that they are now.

Was about to quit, when a bunch of my friends moved to a new server and rolled horde.  I went with them and rolled an Undead Warlock, because, really, why would you want to play anything else?

Got that guy to 70, as well as some alts on both sides into the late 40s.  By that time I was well and truly burned out on the game.  Quit around the launch of LoTRO, haven't been back since.

I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.

Liked Horde races better and found Horde lore to be much more interesting than Alliance lore. Also had slight hope that Horde side would be bit more mature.

I chose based on race rather than faction.  Orcs are Horde, and thus so am I.  I've fiddled around with a few Alliance toons, but my main is an Orc Warrior.

I don't know where you guys keep getting the idea that the Horde side is more mature; the idea of being a violent monster is an adult thing?

There are a lot of kids playing WoW, both sides.  The ally kids at least have the courtesy to not spam nasty, vulgar junk in the chat channels, something too common in Barrens chat.

Also, in Undercity, the Undead have humans in cages and they are torturing them.  F' that, I'd love to kill a monster that was torturing a human.  Alliance all the way.

(one horde orc hunter 70, two ally 70s)
