Check the map location here (Aventurine's address) with the two old Razorwax webcam pics below. The same 6 lane motorway, the same patch of open ground with the same building across the street. If you check out the view angle of the Parthenon below it is 100% consistent with the location of Aventurine's offices, which are Northerly to it.

Good find Friction but I do have some problems with the pics First if it was the same area you see where there is that bridge that runs across just before the building that looks like a car dealership. That isn't there, next the width between the nothingness and that building is greater then what is shown in the webcam shot. Because of that angle that can't be the same location. There is a huge field on the other side and the pic shows a building much closer when there is a field that stretches across before that. So the address is real, but now with these new pics, is Aventurine really there? EDIT: I thought it would be a good idea to explain on the pic as well.

Aww I love the Darkfall guys, it makes me giggle when ever i see the next crazy thread about the game, so if Darkfall ends up being all fake then at least its made me smile lol. Maybe the 2005 date comes from the fact of a different host or renewal date? I don't know but that would kind of make sence. EDIT: Problem with Google Earth is that the pics could be about 2 years old at least, I know that from pics of the UK, and my own home. EDIT2: I just noticed that the road gets thinner on the other side in the google pics but not in the 'webcam' pics. Obviously not the same position as that building. |

The building behind the field is WAY back in the background. Zoom out on the google map to see the building.
Here's the view angle.
Also notice that in the webcam pics you can see the roof of that building and the buildings all along that motorway are casting substantial shadows so the office building must be or a fairly substantial size too. ![]() |

I agree not the same area. The date created is for the domain itself when a brand new domain is created it gets this date and goes on for a couple years past the expiration date. If you renew a domain it will just update the the expiration date. The host doesn't matter for the domain since you can change the dns's of the domain to the new host. It makes one wonder if they even had a damn company site up when they announced Darkfall to begin with heh.

Yes that is a possibility that the foot bridge wasn't built till after the pics. Even with this is a fact, on my pic where I labeled this must be Aventurine would have to be the office then because of the angle of the shot. Would make more sense since that looks like an actual business, but then the address would be incorrect. Admit it Friction you are having fun investigating all this xD. Brings some fun into those lame posting nights doesn't it?

The building labeled at the address we specified a while ago can not be the building, #1 the angle is off like I said. #2 if you take a look at the shot, it is shot from the window cause you can see a reflection from the inside and thus this proves any kind of zoom theory. From the angle shot it would have to be exactly the other building I labeled. <modedit>

No it's not. The view angle matches perfectly.
What "zoom theory"? It's obviously a typical view angle for a webcam.
Check out the green view line I drew from your proposed location for Aventurine. It bisects two corners of that building (marked in green). Do the same with the webcam pic and it DOESN'T point to the viewer.

Don't change the subject now, I just showed you exactly how the pic intersects you know I'm right now. There is no possible way the address specified is the building, because of the distance from the building in a pic, I would be glad to prove this to you math wise and distance leaps if you wish but I figure you could see that just by the pic. Let me know.

Wow, you guys are seriously pro. I believe Hashbrick is right on the building. Google maps either plopped the point on the wrong spot or any number of things. Personally I'm accepting that Hashbrick's building is their offices. So cool the engines is this seriously enough to start getting pissed? <modedit> |

How about we just order a fuckin' pizza for Aventurine at the address given and see if the pizza guy can deliver it? Geez. |

Aye, I agree google earth/maps probably has the wrong point which is indeed very possible.
That would good, I bet those guys would appreciate some late supper as well. I mean creating air is a lot of work and so is playing ping-pong.
Haha. That is exactly what it felt like when I was drawing up the pics and talking about it. <modedit>

Ok I got a question for Fric and Hash. Looking at the photo. Where is the bridge? From both angles you both pointed out. Shouldn't it be visible? |
