I started playing again, because of the living legacy thing, but the game is running terribly. I just assumed when I started it up I could play at max settings with an AMD athlon 64 x2 3800+, two gigs of ram, and a nvidia geforce 9600 GT. Help? sympathy? Anyone having the same problem? |

Everquest runs on some pretty outdated software. You are running almost top of the line. This is where all of your problems are coming from. Just because you have top of the line specs doesn't mean it will run the old games at top notch. Most of the newer drivers have gone beyond optimizing the older generation of games. |

Yeah you have too much high end hardware for the game now. There is a fix specifically for AMD processors to make it run EQ properly, you can get it the AMD website, or search the Sony EQ support forums that's where I found it. I believe they call it AMD "dual core optimizer". |
