They boasted 700,000 accounts the other day. Now, how many of these emails were sent out? I find the timing of their 700,000 accounts news release seriously misleading. See, Funcom's CS staff did a great job of sending out emails. Who says their CS department isn't good?

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware "Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product." |

People complain all the time Funcom doesn't have customer service. I'm saying they are wrong. Funcom sent me an email showing my account was cancelled. I'm wanting to see how many others got the same email from Funcom.

Although i have had no problems with getting any ingame issues sorted by GMs (raised 5 tickets, all solved in the same day - and once solved while i was offline), I dont think you can base whether their customer service is any good by a resubscription email, which is more than likely an automated email cron job. tbh i thought you were being sarcastic lol. Sorry :P |

I would see this more of a troll post. You REALLY want us to see that you canceled. It is a veiled attempt at trolling..but, hey, to each their own. Good luck |

I thought it was sarcastic too. Of course they're going to try to get people to come back, that's not customer service, that's common business sense. |

All this shows is their computers are better at "customer service" than their employees. |

Ingame support was good to me (waited 5 mins for a reply), but i wont be renewing my account. The game was just too boring, no economy or crafting (those free koran games have better crafting) and last two days my server was almost empty (i played in the morning so maybe that was the reason). I will buy one more month to play next year, maybe they will change something. Edit: I posted here, because i cant post any feedback at aoc forums (non-active account). |

Reading the cancellation messages in four languages has been fascinating, especially for the difference between them. Caveat. I speak English and French fluently, but I had to rely on Babel Fish to get an approximate translation in Spanish (though I once learned its basics) and German. French tends to be a verbose language in comparison to English, but even here it has an additional sentence found in none of the other versions: "We remind you that we will maintain the data of your character, to allow you to continue the adventure where you left it." (Wasn't there something mentioned somewhere, the EULA or wherever, that basically said they were not making such guarantees?) Also of note is that, unlike the French version, the Spanish version is written in an informal tone (tu instead of su, etc.). Perhaps it has to do with social conventions, but I doubt it. There are other variations throughout, which has me thinking that each of these versions, although based on a similar model, did not originate as translations of the other. |

Cancelled account emails are as automated as "Welcome to Age of Conan" emails. It's called subscription "churn". People come and go, come back and go again. |

well the poll may not be showing us how great AoC's customer service is..... What it is showing me though is this. Almost 60% of 45 voters so far have canceled their accounts. 54% got the email and 5% expecting it. While 41% said no because they did not unsubscribe.
Still in contrast not going to well for AoC as usual. |

Wake me up when the count gets up to 10000. If you can't "Have your cake & eat it too", then how can "The proof of the pudding be in the eating"? |
