After the 2. week of the included 30 days playtime of AoC I desided it was enugh. I just got mad every time I logged in, the fustration of several issues/bugs got to me + the non existing game support and missing features. Needless to say I didnt subscribe. Then after subscription was due FunCom emailed a poll on various issues, and I was a bit happy for this chance to express my views on several issues. Im sure if my issues with AoC are fixed, I´ll be happy to have another go at the game, but for now im enjoying and having fun with other games. Afterall my gametime should be fun... I don´t care how FunCom shares are doing, I don´t care how many stay or leave AoC, I don´t care about the fanboy vs. hater war on the forum. I just want AoC to be fixed of any gamebreaking issues, and all the promised features be patched in. So my advise to you all - If your gametime in AoC makes you fustratet and a sad panda, then stop playing / paying. Fill out the poll FunCom mailes you and hope for the best - Forget AoC & FunCom for a few month and check the official forum to deside if its time to return to the game. Sorry for any misspelling. |

It was a mail from FunCom with a link to the poll. You rate a question from 1 to 10 Mark a box on severel questions Finally you get to write a few lines on your oppinion on AoC / FunCom / why you did´nt renew subscription. Sadly the wine and steak statement by AoC Game Director Gaute Godager, wasnt made yet. Sure I would have flamed a bit over this arrogance ... The current state of AoC makes such statements uncalled for and shows that Gaute Godager is full of hot air |

pvp was SUPPOSE to be today guess not im thinking they are going to 1 patch a week now so maybe our first major patch will be thursday. they have fixed alot of bugs in these patches already though i even noticed they added a few extra animations for random little things. subscribe in 3 months and if WAR fails then keep your sub going until something blows everything else out of the water comes *cough (darkfall) cough*
its definatly getting better faster thasn any other MMO at launch. |

There many people who have turned hating the game into an obsession that should take your advice to heart. Whilst there are a few things that I am frustrated with as well, possibly because I am only a casual player nothing has bothered me that much so far & I am still enjoying the game very much. Hopefully things will improve enough to lure you back in future, but until then have fun. If you can't "Have your cake & eat it too", then how can "The proof of the pudding be in the eating"? |

I never wanted to post anything on forums, because i was afraid that would turn into factions war.But i do agree with this level-headed observation. I did know that combat system was grossly dumbed down (like 80% of it was removed) from what it was suppose to be back in 2007, and I didn't expect "bugless" game.So i gave it a chance and didn't like it. Hopefully they will fix things down the road, both game wise and community wise.I gave VG second chance , i don' t see why not do same with AoC. Even though i don't believe that anything of quality can come out of console world.
For those that are expecting WAR to be magic savior, game was in same bad state as AoC at Expo in Leipzig. |
