WAR (Warhammer Online)

So, anything new on our beloved dark elven warrior? I am starting to worry about its development, i don't want to believe that it might be a reason for another pushback. Is the class even on the beta?

Yeah, first off Black Guards are not Dark Elf warriors (big difference between them) secondly I haven't really heard anything on them other than what Paul's Blog described  4mos ago.

My guess is they are having a difficult time with them in more ways than one (Halberd animation,balancing issues or just all out deciding on how their "hate" dynamic is gonna work).

I plan on playing a Black Guard as well and hope that they are just as dangerous in the MMO as a "offensive" tank as they are in the "TT" (have you seen 7th edition? Black Guards are beast with the new rules now ).

Just cause Mythic hasn't revealed much on it yet shouldn't cause worry!  WAR is still months away and the way they're doing their focused testing its just not ready yet!  I don't think there is any trouble, though I do think Mythic is waiting until its just right during internal tests before releasing it to beta!

Best I can suggest is to follow the Ironbreaker until they release more Blackguard info, since they are mirror classes.

OK, so the Blackguard will have the wrath/Hatred mechanic which works similar to the Grudge mechanic. So we know the grudge abilities from the description will give short term buffs to the user and the buff can be shared with their oathfriend.... so I would think that wrath/hatred will make the Blackguard a guy you will want on your assist train, in theory, wrath willl be offensive short term buffs that are shared with one other person in your party who is within range.

As I think about this more... it could make a DEVISTATING combo with a witch elf. Witch elves have short term buffs but very very light defensive power. In theory you could have a blackguard using guard/protect ability to take damage for the witch elf on the front line.. and then use his buffs + her buffs to turn her into a short duration melee powerhouse on the front line.

I was wondering this to. Its the only class on the site you cannt click on to find out more info. Even the White Lion you can click on so that had me worried. Maybe they are just getting the class right cause it my be a little different.
