Without Blizzard as their beacon(EA is like a beacon that let you fall into the abyss), FSS couldn't deliver, though their ideas were quite good.

Blizzard and Diablo3, whoever is working on it, if only small remains of the scattered blizzard north, they are doing a splendid job, the whole Diablo universe is still there spot on according to the cinematic, gameplay, and art trailer.

Not to mention the music, well it's as legendary as the fight at Mount Arreat itself.

All i want from Diablo 3 is for it to be EXACTLY like Diablo 2. It's what we as gamers have been crying out for since we slayed Baal in Diablo 2. There is little point changing the formula for Diablo thats like taking Mario and turning it into a first person shooter, sure it's different but what everyone really wants is more of the same.

There is a lobby system where people can socialize, shop, find groups, encounter one another in game at any random time. Now we all know the battlenet system. Ask yourself what diablo 3 is bringing to the table that isnt already here in this day and age of gaming.  Why is there still a class system? Where are the classes bound to race still? With the sucess of wow, why is it every class is going to have a preset model and race instead of being able to choose your race and class seperrately.

 

Diablo 3 just seems like titan quest 2.0 at this point. And i know good and well diablo  was the first, it doesnt mean that should be enough to keep it as the king. So far, the only thing new and exciting about this game so far is the name.

 

PS... cant blame EA for Hellgates failure, that game was terrrible back in alpha. But even that 3d style  wouldve been a better route for diablo to go,

 

Yeah I understand what you are saying and you make sense but look at it this way. It is Diablo, it's the greatest rpg of all time for the pc. Between the 2 games it sold 17 million copies. I can't even think of a mmo who can even come close to that number except WOW. Just like SC2, people are going to buy this game like there is no tomorrow. Innovation, well it is Blizzard and they have proven they don't need to be super innovative to be successful.

As far as FSS goes look at it this way, if FSS was still affiliated with Blizzard/Vivendi would Hellgate get released in the US in the state it was ? Ofcourse not and most people I think would agree on that. All Hellgate needed was a few more months in the oven but ofcourse Hellgate+Halloween, EA was dreaming of doallar signs.

it isn't even a RPG to consider, just a pure hack and slash and a hack and slash goes far off the line from what a RPG is.

Diablo is a pure hack and slash with some standard RPG elements. In no way it is a RPG. I would consider oblivion even a RPG more then diablo.

Saying it is the greatest RPG of all time is telling me that you haven't eaten cake of RPG's.

never played the ol diablos, this looks kind of fun-ish. I just hate the fixed camera angles. that just ruins any graphics for me, and puts it back on level with gameboy games. not properly 3d if you can't swing the camera. so runescape graphics beat it.

if you havent played diablo 2 whatsoever just dont comment here you dont know what your talking about its the best game ever and is still VERY active meaning we like it the way it is and its good they upgraded it rather then remake the entire game into some mmorpg 3d shit

Seriously if u never played Diablo 1 or 2 then dont even leave a comment... this is old school reminicissing its bringing back the old fun of D1 and D2 except no hax and just plain good ol' fun i cant wait for this to come out i remember watching my dad play when i was 6 or 7 then him finally letting me play and i couldnt stop playing for hours on end then Diablo 2 came out and thats all i saved up for then played it for hours on end again... this game is a classic revamped and its going to be outstanding for the ones that loved the s
