5 weeks after launch and Conan is already outsold by WAR and WOW on Amazon.com Position 7 now and already bypassed by Wow battlechest. I don't even calculate the combined sales of Wow + TBC + battlechest / WotLK. I guess this will leave WAR and WotLK to divide the market between them at the end of the year. I can't imagine Conan will regain its momentum ever. Customers have spoken after the hype, no matter what the paid reviewers on the internet stated. People vote with their money --- always. And they are always right.

I'm no fan of AoC, but thats JUST amazon.com. hardly represents the entire market. |

it is a decent indicator though, imho.
But who knows, maybe FC will pull a rabbit out of their hat, so to speak. |

Believe me it is a rather good representation of the market. Amazon.com sales are updated on a daily basis and are always being confirmed a few days later by the weekly overviews of software sales. It's like a temperature meter of software sales. Have a good hunt at the Conan subscription cards btw. Last time they were not even on the top 200 of ... PC sales. That would be top 1000 of general video game sales....

Its also true for the weekly PC sales for Gamestop. Got my email from them and looked, they are 6th or 7th dont remember and no I dont have a link but it shouldnt be hard to find. WAR's CE was at the top. I dont think AoC topped the charts for Gamestop for more than a week or two though. I am no fan of AoC either but its to be expected really. WoW is always up top for some reason and WAR is still waiting to be released. Most computer game sales never stay up top for more than a month or two after release. The exception has been WoW. |

The same figures are shown in Australia this week, WoW is back on n1 spot for pc sales and AoC dropped to 4th beaten by games like Mass Effect. Might want to have a look at this, very interesting |

Imagine the numbers AOC could have, if only they releaset a game worthy of playing, and treated the playerbase as a business should treat their customers. AOC would probably be the most successful western MMORPG after wow. I really hope the future developers are haveing a close look. |
