Just wondering cause all of the official announcement forum section on AoC are gone.  Is this because my account has been canceled?  They don't want people who are not subed to the game to see what is happening?!?!

God are these people secretive or what...

They have been handing out bans left and right and have shut down there own forums because of heat they were getting on them. They have a big problem and are in full damage control mode. in my humble opion!

They don't trust anyone... so their customers are starting to not trust them. Ain't it a good ol' world.

The banning part I have no problem believing, but do you have any evidence that they actually "shut down their own forums because of heat they were getting on them"?  It might have been a technical glitch -- that happens to the best of places from time to time, and on that score, I am willing to give Funcom the benefit of the doubt.

 You have to log into the forums to see the Voice of Crom section. It's been that way for quite awhile now.

I think it's just bad communication when there are games like EVE where you can go and read every single Dev Blog on the site without having to sign in.

Communication is a HUGE thing with MMOs and I don't think FC realize that. 

If they only realized that if they had come out and said "xyz won't be in the game, sorry but we ran out of money" people would have cut them a lot of slack.

Or if they just came out and said "we realize we did a piss poor job with launching everything we promised, and we're doing our best to get things in as quick as possible."

Saying that they had a solid launch, or showing what will be coming in the next few months effectively dodging current problems is not the way to deal with an MMO player base.

If your account is frozen, you can't see the official announcments part of the forum.

people with frozen account should lose all privilege from the forum maybe we will stop seeing "AoC is a flop" thread.

they shouldn't prevent you from seeing just prevent you from posting.  that is unless they want to hide something about the game and what paying customers are saying....

Yeah I cancelled my account and I can't see the official announcements either.  I think it's kinda wierd that they wouldn't want potential customers to hear first hand from developers the improvements they are making. Funcom marches to a different drummer.
