I bought AoC.

Ugh, what a golden turd of a game and a community to match the turd reference, though not golden.

Got through the tutorial twice, didnt like my first character.

I was having issues and asked for help.

Got very rude responses and couldn't get it to work right even though I meet the recommended specs.

Eventually got a rude tell saying that my comp sucked and I should go play something else, that was the basic message of the tell, it was alot ruder but whatever.

I log out, uninstalled AoC and got me cash back.

Came home and had a email from SOE. Uck, no i don't wanna play SWG anymore, leave  me alone....

wait.

2 MONTHS of EQ & EQ2 for free. ok.

Best thing ever!

I made, on a whim, a Ratoga Brigand.

Went out today and bought the full game. The class and race combo clicked for me.

I am having even more fun than i had in WoW. The community is great too.

Anyway.

They told me to leave. They tell alot of folks to leave in AoC.

I did and discovered EQ2, and i couldn't be happier about the choice.

Maybe the players of AoC instead of being asses to players who are trying to enjoy that game actually try to help folks out in they are having issues.

But it doesn't matter anymore.

EQ2 is very very fun.

Umm, you made one mistake. The two months gives you the full game all the way through Rise of Kunark as well as all the rewards. So you didn't need to buy anything.

At any rate, welcome to the game.

You can go a long way with a smile. You can go a lot farther with a smile and a gun.

Glad you found an MMO that you enjoy. I might give EQ2 another try.

Very good choice. I'm waiting for my collector's addition to come in so I can start over fresh. My old druid is going to retire, but I'm coming back! :)

Blessed are the forgetful, for they get the better even of their blunders

Yeah, EQ2 really is a great game, and very much underappreciated, although I think that is still mostly due to peoples old perceptions of the game even though it's changed immensely, for the better, since release. I have been playing EQ2 since early beta, minus a year+ spent in WoW, although I recently left EQ2, probably for good although I'm keeping my sub open so I can pop in now and then.

It really is a great game though. HUGE world that is always growing, GREAT community where you very rarely find the kind of ass-hatery that is commonplace in WoW (and AoC from what I hear), LARGE selection of classes, all of which are actually pretty well balanced and fun to play, and there really is something for every kind of player, there are many, many, group dungeons, tons of solo content, and a solid raiding scene. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend EQ2 to anyone that is looking for a very solid MMO.

teddyboy420 i see you play in the WAR Beta.......    DAMN YOUUUUUUUU!!!!

42 hours ha? not bad... not too shabby....

You know what''s disturbing... that i bet 99% of the girls you''re going to drool over in this game are going to be guys who made a female character just to drool over themselves - by miagisan
