No more: - Re-rolling 10 different characters to experience all the classes' skills and abilities. - Wishing your class had somewhat similar skills and abilities as your buddy. - Complaining about class balance and waiting for patches to come out just to fix it. - Regretting your class decisions and tactics just because you got pwned in the face again and again. - Auto attack, skill mashing, and heat-seeking spells. - Instanced crap and small rinky-dink zones/lands. - Comparing what one game has that the one you're playing doesn't. - World of Warcraft. ------------------------------ |

I agree with the OP. The reasons to play a MMO such as DF outnumbers the vaporware rumors many times over. And for me that dont play level/clas based MMOs...i really need such a game soon. |

Aye, we will finally be able play the style (class) we really want and not have to worry about being underpowered by a class in which we have no interest. Bye bye QQing ------------------------------ |

Talemire, exactly what leads you to believe those problems will just vanish? Some of the things you mentioned, are things that are inherent to the genre. Others are things that "you" have a problem with. Yet still there are some that just plain don't make sense either. |

Actually I beg to differ. I've been playing MMORPGs for a while and in every game I see the same arguments and complaints. It's not just me, however, it's not all the time either. What leads me to state these points lies in the game mechanics the makers of Darkfall (don't know the company name off the top of my head) are pressing. Check out the game's features, it'll make sense. ------------------------------ |

The point I'm trying to make is this. Darkfall as best as we all know is a collection what most would call "the best pvp features from all previous MMO's". Which sounds great in theory, but at the same time. Wouldn't that mean that you are bringing the problems inherent with that chosen PvP feature along with it? I admit I only read the DF forums maybe 4 times out of a month.(And I usually don't get through all the post) I do not recall any responses explaining how DF will tackle the problems associate with each feature. Just to name a few of the more common ones I've seen in every PvP game I've played since M59 and UO: Buff Bots Bunny Hopping Terrain Glitching Speed/Movment Hacks FOTM Templates Common skills vs Uncommon Skills |

Am I? That's one I've never played. Worry not, you're not. In Eve: You have to roll several (a lot) characters, and then wait (a lot), in order to experience all skills. There's always complaining about ship (and in extension, skill) balance until they get nerfed or buffed next patch. You will eventually regret some skill decisions or or maybe some attribute decisions, unless you're a veteran in which case you already did the regretting, and you can't do a thing about it, just live with it. The combat is the very definition of auto attack and heat-seeking abilities and projectiles. There's the equivalent of instanced crap in the form of deadspace missions. World of Warcraft is still around. If it's meant to be "No more WoW for me" then that's always been a choice.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to find this game. I'm embarrassed. In my defence I do work a lot. |
