On a Topic-Related note, the Downtime for the US Servers has been extended to 8PM EDT. A Major fix for the Stability issues that caused the crashing on the EU Servers apparently has to be implemented.
Updates FTW.
As a reply to AOCTester, defending what AoC is like right now is not right. Defending that it is buggy and has faults is not right.
Having fun with the game nonetheless however...well, that's something different. Some, like you, say that people can only get companies to improve by boycotting them. I don't think so. Not in this case anyway.
But maybe I just want to believe in the good intention of others. I want to believe that the developers behind AoC actually want the game to be good and are working to achieve that and doing what you suggest would more or less pull the plug for that endeavor.
So you see, we have two sides. You say, boycott them all so they realize this is not acceptable.
I say, support them so they can deliver what they actually want. You may call me a sucker and an idiot for trusting the game-developers to actually want to do their job right. *shrugs* But that is my opinion. That does not mean I don't point out faults and flaws and demand them to be fixed and that, if I don't see improvements coming, I will eventually stop supporting them. |

No, that comment was truly, purely rubbish. Yours, on the other hand, is a little more useful. I still don't think that topics should discuss poster personalities. Especially not with derailing original concepts, like this one. DB
Rubbish? I really want to learn what your defination of rubbish is then because it 99% of what AoCTester or anyone who says this game is terrible is rubbish. He posted TWO topic on how there is a lot of gold farmers, what MMORPG isn't there? Funcom failing to deliver on what they say, true, but we dont need 3000 people saying so. And he also has an abundence of negitive posts from other peoples topics. And he even advertised EQ2 on AoC forums... Maybe it is a bit to far by saying dont listen to him, but he is no doubt a flammer and a troll.

US servers have an ETA of 4:30 EDT. People seriously need to learn to read. The reason for removing topics from the forums board, is because several people are making the same dam topic threads, when they have already labeled one thread as the main one. Yet again, people not learning how to read. So im going to put this easy for you simpletons out there, if you cannot attempt to read or do a search, then just don't reply. And the forums were down for a quick sec for database issue's. Nothing big, and it happens to alot of companys. People need to get over the "This game is garbage crap", thinking droves of people will follow them. This is a game people. Can some of you not understand that some people like this game? So what if they do, if it bothers you that much, go beg Mythic for a beta key. Regardless, these are video games, and if your going to go out of your way to prove how crappy the game is on a forums board, then you have already proved to us you have no life. To those who care, Alchemy is fixed and Gem's and SIlk's can now be seen on the trader, WOOT! Time to build me up a nice set of crafted/gemmed gear for soem hardcore grinding. |

I have posted alot more than two topics about the fact that AOC was launched unfinished and not ready for retail. The economy system is one sign of that. Posting two simulare posts doesn't make them wrong. THe one posted last night was again based on the fact that there are ppl that are at lvl 60+ and havn't got a mount. That is calling out for cheating, exploiding and goldbuying. And where there is a market for it -there will be farmers and goldsellers. Counter to what most think - its the devs that deside how many of them are around. And its not done by banning ppl. Its done by creating a system that is build on balanced economy. I have already had the fastest mount in AOC in closed beta and I know its not worth the price Funcom has put on it. But still - its calling out for problems Cause ppl kinda get tired of running on foot through 3-4 zones to get to where they can actually lvl. And then ppl use exploids like kiling themselfs so they can jump automaticly to closest spawnpoint to get out of map. Thats an exploid in my book. MMO game should not be about kiling yourself and directly benefit from it. But ppl are not stupid. We will all go the easy route to reach our goals. That goes for both players and goldfarmers alike. And the easy route isn't always the devs route. Problems could have been avoided if half a brain was put into it. About 3000 ppl saying so... - thats exactly the point. Funcom knows that there is bugs and problems with the game, there is no need to reimburse it with 15 threads with the sam topic. What the majority of these forums are posting isnt suggestions, they are simply flamming this game. If they post something like funcom should fix X problem, then that is ok, but people are just plain out mindlessly blabbering about known issues.
You are the first in a while to actually post these problems. Go look at 8/10 threads, you will see the OP simply saying "ALOTZ OF BUGZ" and never addressing what specificly is causing him trouble. |
