"I think that's what we're trying to do. It's more expensive, it's not for everyone and perhaps it's not as easily accessible as WOW is. But it could be more meaty," Godager finished.

I think I nailed it right.

While I think his analogy is entirely lame, it would mean his restaurant is meant to serve a fine dining meal of steak and wine.  Yet, steak is in a patch coming this summer and wine hasn't been implemented yet with no target date yet released.

When they get around to finishing the game and putting in all the things they promise on the game box (DX 10), then maybe he can flap his gums about the quality of his MMO meal.

Until that time there are a lot of people looking for the toy that is supposed to come in their happy meal.

Well good thing i dont mind a wine thats only been in the cellar for 2 - 5 years =P

Naturally, you can always sweeten a young wine and make it palatable.  Of course...that would lead us to wonder where the sweet n' low was when they decided to launch.  How silly of me to forget, they used it all on the first sampling....in Tortage.  You know, in looking back...I think it might have been in their best interests to actually leave Tortage a little more lacking and make the rest of their game a tad more sweet.

Even better, they could have simply waited for the next shipment of sweet n' low to come in.  Granted, that would have lost them initial sales.  It would have given them time to fully correct some drier tastes later on and secure them as the "pretty and awesome" kingpins.   I suppose we can only blame ourselves, and sharp tongued investors in suits, for the need to make such high initial sales.  I think it hurt them, though, in the long run.  MMO players do not often look backwards...only forward.  It is a harsh reality of this industry.

Did you mis-spell Wine intentionally ? :)))

I remember when this picture was on there main site. I don't think that AoC is gonna lay any siege on WoW.

This whole AoC release boggles my mind on many levels.  Its just crazy on many levels.  I can't tell whether some of this stuff is crazy or deceptive or a bit of both.  Does Gaute really think he is making Vanguard or something.

I mean I disagree with the Vanguard type people about that style of MMO being rich and stuff.  But at least they had sane or arguable points.  AoC though has nothing of the sort and most of the features that can even vaguely be called "high end" or "rich/deep" are crap, barely work, or not in at all.

I think Funcom is run by the kind of bulls**tter that believe their own bulls**t.  I have worked for a a couple people like that.  They are perplexing because they appear insane when you try to put all the pieces together.  Yet there is also a method to their madness that tends to really really sucker people who tend to not be skeptical at first blush.  In other words if you do not do the "trust but verify" or just plain skepticism.  Yo utend to bleieve them because they do not give off the normal signs of lying.

Yet when you go over all the facts at a later date you know they were lying but they will swear up and down that they were not and as far as you can tell they bleieve it.  Yet at other times they are clearly pruposely coloring the truth and and even admit such a thing.

Fortunately I have seen people like this in real life and knew the objective signs from the get go.  But its still mind boggling when you see it.  Especially a company that has the sort of "drink the kool-aid" culture of this sort of stuff.

The sad things many people get burned by this sort of unconscious con man.  They are strange because they are not fully predatory like a conscious con man.  But they tend to really really cause certain sorts of people to get burned very badly.

DIE AND BURN

Also did you notice the photo they posted for the interview...he's putting the eeevil finger  like "im badass, I made the wow killer"  Please man i mean somebody should enmark that photo and hand it to him and say: "here, now get the f**k off our company". I swear just the photo really  really annoyed me. When you make such a disgraceful piece of trash you are not allowed to pose like that...it's just WRONG.

Yeah, I thought the exact same thing. You can see the smug arrogance, "I sold you a pack of lies and you fell for it", makes me want to smack him in the face with a copy of the CE edition.
