Exactly, it's not a religion it's a game. If I personally am not having fun playing it screw it.

I agree OP on most points pretty much, also the fact that players today aren't tolerant towards unfinished mmorpgs any more. The reason is simple, the standard has been raised several times since; "The time of tolerance and patience".

Last week a few of my RL friends and i decided to move on and come back later, we liked AoC quite a lot but we didn't want to play it unfinished as it were right now, funny enough i always knew it was released at least 3 months too early (knew about the financial problem FC was facing), i bought AoC on an spontanous reaction after EA people said it was smooth sailing and the miracle patch to performance had been made (the part which always had me going on the "waiting a few months till it's stable").

We'll be back at the end of summer, or earlier if they are able to stabilize and give out enough of the content that should have been at release. But most likely it's be the first option. Unless some other game comes out of the blue air ect.

I was really into the Conan lore and loved the game at start, since it actually brought it really nicely.

Funny enough i should have listened to my own advice before EA, "wait 1-3 months before buying it", hehe ironic i know, oh well, it was fun for the time we played it, had funcom had enough cash to delay it 3 more months, who knows what would have happened.

AoC just needed the 3 extra months, oh well at least a few of my pals and myself will resub again, after it's been polished enough so the ride up to lvl 80 will be as nice as the 1-40 was. Not to mention, having things to do after hitting lvl 80 and making the gathering/crafting system work properly.

P.S. lol as i was writting this post i got a mail from Funcom, to please take part in their survey of why i hadn't renewed the sub.  Hopefully they'll at least read a little of it.

Funcom's AoC car is very dirty, beneath the dirt there's an awesome car but they forgot to clean it up properly, stupid funds running out, or better yet, they should just have put the release date far into 2009 from the beginning.  =S

Because for the most part it is fun to play.  But it is lacking things that will keep me playing and I listed them.  I can live with bugs and glitches...I played Vanguard for overa year...I think I am qualified to make such a comment.   Funcom needs to add the end-game, the need sieges to work and work right.  The game needs a PvP system that works.  

Need more armor options - a lot more!  I will always quit a game if they do not make them available.  I want my character to look unique.   Want to see unique.

My huntress and her pet in WoW.   She is dressed all in white and silver.   Her pet is white.    I seriously doubt you see many characters in WoW that look like mine does.  That is unique.

In AoC my ranger looks the same as every other ranger, as does my PoM.  In fact my PoM and Ranger pretty much look identical because the share the same armor graphics.   That is just sad.

I know for guys it is no biggy.   I am not a guy.  I like to dress up.  I like my characters to dress up.   Think of it as virtual Barbie.   KK  ^_^

I know how you feel Teala...even as a guy I enjoy the uniqueness, and being dressed differently that others!  I always play a female avatar...I admit it...nothing to be ashamed of, and yeah looks are everything to me for my characters before going out to play!  Guess with having 8 RL sisters the estrogen is just flowing through the air for me to breathe in...LOL

one of the reasons i loved SWG back in the day,.....as a guy i loved wearing nice clothes in the game (yes my zabrack was hawt! :P ). I could customize his outfit any way i wanted, as well as the armor coloration

yeah funcom concentrated on character customization to mush rather that making gear look nice. everything looks the same.....i mean no one really ever looks at a charecters face to distinguish between them.

Fanbois are just going to defend the armor with something similar to:

omg you noobs! teh armorz are supposed to be realistix, u don't sees eyeballs popping out of ur shoulders!
