After much debate I've decided that AoC just isn't ready and at lvl 57 it just isn't fun. I've posted a number of reviews and gone through the full spectrum of being a hard core fan to being a disallusioned player. lvl 1-20 made me think this game was great. Now not so much.... Maybe I'll check back in a month or two but for now I'm off to other games. EQ2 is top of my list followed by Vanguard in August/Sept when they have a number of big enhancements and the new trial island launching. So till then have fun!! |

EQ2 and Vanguard both suffer from a huge lack of players and SOE needs to merge some servers (With EQ2 at least). Normally when I pick a server I get on at my prime time for playing and make a character on all the servers available and check with /who all, or find players, or whatever options the devs give to find the server that fits me best. EQ2 at MY prime time (Weird time because I like the mornings more than nights) didn't have one server with over 350 people playing. The PVP server my chars were on had 33-50 players the few times I checked. At est nighttime I checked and I only found one server with over 500 people playing on it. I'm sorry but with worlds that big that kind of population is unacceptable for an MMO. They need to merge, and find a way to bring new blood into the game. |

I'm not sure what you are talking about. There seem to be plenty of people to me. What's most important to me is that reguardless of the population eq2 is like 100x easier to get a group then in AoC. I've never had to wait more then an hour or so and while I wait there are lots of things to do. In the last week I've been trying to get a group to do cistern and having no luck at all. I even made a group which took over an hours and wasn't really functional in the end. but anyway I'm not here to fight about it. there is nothing wrong with eq2 if you want to do groups and run with other people. I don't know anything about pvp so whatever you say there might be right on.
