Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

WHAT THE DEV HAVE SAID SO FAR:

• The "dark and gloomy" is a shot of a burning village area.  The Island is decent in size, and the "mood" changes from area to area.
• Those are indeed the first released shots from Isle of Dawn.

These pictures just remind me of how much I hate the MMORPG.com boards.  Sidescrolling ftl.

I'm not convinced by the trial isle idea still, but I guess it's better than nothing...

Maybe instead of working on expansions they should finish making the game first.

Maybe before posting you should get your shit strait.  The isle of the dawn is a individually downloadable trial area that they're working on that also functions as an additional newbie zone.

Gloomie does have a sorta point there, though. If they make the isle misrepresentative of the rest of the game, it could make things worse, not better. If they have a polished trial, the game should have at least the same amount of polish, if not more.

Gloomie does have a sorta point there, though. If they make the isle misrepresentative of the rest of the game, it could make things worse, not better. If they have a polished trial, the game should have at least the same amount of polish, if not more.

The game is fine now, there its as polished as you can get, and im sure the Trial island will be just the same.

This isnt just for a trial, its also to help optimize characters and do many other long term things with the game.

Its the best thing they can do right now for Vanguard.

I hope the dev team get this trial Island out the door soon so it can free members of the dev team up to start work on fleshing out the main game with content.

Alright, well that sounds good. I wasn't flaming the game ( sorry if it sounded that way ). Just don't figure seeing "There should be a trial!!" turn into "Don't believe the trial!!", as we've seen happen with a few other games in the past, being much better for the game.

Sounds interesting.  I would be willing to give Vanguard another look, but I heard they are reworking the avatars.  Any word on when that will happen?
