WAR (Warhammer Online)

One thing I like about MMO's is the world-feel, sort of like taking a stroll through ol' familiar Middle Earth or some similar setting.  I understand the reasoning behind the "chaos chicken" to keep high levels from ganking noobs, but it would be a drag if you could never really visit some zones again.  Plus, such a restriction feels "gamey".

I wonder if they could just modify things so if you gank an opponent of much lower level, you turn into the chicken, but simply trekking through old ground doesn't have any adverse impact.

Thoughts?

you can run around the lower level zones.. long as you dont mind doing it as a chicken lol.  im sure there will be high level chick runs / races haha

I'd imagine it only happens in enemy low-level zones, not your own...or does it happen anywhere? And yeah like Gorguk said you could technically do it...being a chicken isn't so bad, they might even be nice and put in a speed boost so it'll make things easier .

unless your intentions are to gank lowbies you will never have to worry about turning into a chicken .

Sure, you can go visit them. As a re-roll, or as a chicken with 1 hp. Those are your options.

you only turn into a chicken in lower level enemy PvE zones or any lower level RvR area.

You do not turn into a chicken in your own races lower level areas.

That's good to know.  Still, I would have preferred high-level NPC guard aggro to the chaos chicken thing.

Warhammer has some twisted humor, this is only a little bit of it. And it exposes you for what you are, really, if you just want to gank low level players instead of fighting those your own size.

Well there is gaurd aggro as well. The problem with just gaurds is they can be killed or kitted. basically they can be dealt with in a way that would allow ganking.
