A magazine interview from early june, this june of course, hehe, a rather interesting "typical Blizzard'ish" teasing.

Of course potential jokes as well, or teaser of other games to be expected.

EDIT: note the upcoming WWI is also called by some the DAWWInchi  code  ;)

Umm..no they have not, saying somthing often enough does not make it true. Find me a SINGLE quote where a BLIZZARD representative said this.

But I could not find verification of that from a Blizzard source, only that is was not an expansion to WoW.  I remember reading that, but perhaps your right and it has not been confirmed by Blizzard.

in the next upcoming days we'll know for sure, since the splash screen cracks open more each day and there's given a new "clue picture", there's believed to be six of them, the first to had the code names Tundra and cavern with id letters as D and O, there's believed to be 6 clue pictures, who'll all fit together in the end.

D-_-_-_-_-O     ^_^, each day will bring us closer.

First splash had a rune which partially matched a Shael rune, 2nd day was a complete match to the hel rune, both from D2.

Argh i better stop, just getting excited about something that could seem like the perfect joke or the perfect teaser....

The more I read, the more it does seem to indicate a Diablo III announcement which really surprises me because I honestly didn't think that Blizzard was interested in doing a Diablo III project right now with all the other stuff they have going on, but who knows.  Honestly I couldn't care less what they announce, I'll probably be excited.  But if they pull another Starcraft Ghost move, I may just kill myself. I can't find it at the moment, but Blizz has stated that they have 3 design teams going at the moment. One for WoW, one for SC2, and one for ???. Also a few years back Vivendi (Blizz's parent) told an investors meeting that Diablo, SC and WC would all be MMOs. Only time will tell.

To clarrify...that ??? is said to be an entirely new property from Blizzard that is not related to any of their big three franchises.

Really? I've never seen that. Is that official from Blizz or just speculation? I can't remember the code names at the moment either, SC2 was medusa or hydra or some such.

Yes it is the official. Blizzard mention it at the last Blizzard convention that they were working on 3 projects. One was a the WoW expansion, the other Starcraft 2 and the last being a new IP.It came straight from the VP of developments mouth.

i'm telling ya, activision has transformers.  sequel coming in 1-2 years.  a mmo that has nothing to do with blizzard games.  a transformers mmo is not out of the question here.

More fuel to the D3 fire.... did rob pardo (blizzard) let it slip that D3 or atleast a new game will be annonced this weekend?

"So you want me to announce the game before our announcement?" he said. "No offense, but I think there's like 300 people here, and I'll be ripped apart by 8000 people there [at the Invitational] if I pre-announce it - but it's going to be really exciting. I think everybody here will be really excited about the announcement."

BTW there is now a 3rd rune on the blizzard splash screen that looks like the Starcraft 2 Protoss logo, we we have a rune/logo that represents Wotlk, 1 to represent Diablo and now 1 to represent Starcraft.. what will the 4th rune be?

No you're just be delusional. All he said was that he was not going to reveal the new project until it was the right time. Talk about jumping to conclusions.
