what we have here is someone who had a complaint against a necro patch and thru in the vendor armor picture for fun. Quickly followed by AoC's most hated party, followed on further by the truth that Necros could pretty much own everyone and they were the only class to get a nerf. ToS had a nerf too. Conq got like 20 new spells, and well if you think thats the only armor for Rangers then you mistaken as Mordria pointed out.

One Doom thread and all the hater are straight on it. Nothing changes...

I used to be a huge fanboy of this game, and I still hold out hope for it, but after todays patch I am feeling the urge to just not play anymore. It has nothing to do with armor or classes, as those are mostly fixed at 80. The problem I have is grey mobs and how they scale, and how they destroyed any chance of anyone killing an elite mob lower level then them. It's rediculous how much a mob 25 levels below me can do. I literally get destroyed by mobs 20-40 levels below me after today. 

 I really hope funcom reverts the grey mobs evade "revision" as the last grey mob adjustment they did was too much as it is.

it was done to stop people farming them as they were over and over for blues for guildies. Now I find it tough to to kill a boss 20 lvls below or so, found this out from some quests I missed out on. I think they might have made them a little to hard, yes forsure, maybe will get tweaked again. Something needed to be done though, I saw far too many 80's at Sanctum just apprenticing the group and running through the mobs to the boss. 

So yes i am in agreement with you that something needs to be done, it needs tidying up a bit better.

 Did you mean to say conquerors got 20 spells? I play with a friend and have a level 61 conqueror ad when I loged in and did not get anything new.

It's not the fact they are trying to keep people from farming bosses below them as that should be a personal choice not a forced one. It is a design flaw they have to live with and they are obviously attempting to stop any and all gold farming ( by anyone not just sellers). This is the wrong way of doing it and it has completely destroyed any chance of anyone completing grey quests that they were  unable to complete when they were the right level(open dungeons, good idea on paper, bad in execution).  before todays patch I had to find 2 other players that were 63+ just to finish main system, because it is almost impossible to do in the 50's. Now that is not even possible. Bosses hit for an insane amount and you will need a full group to kill alevel 50 boss no matter if your level 50 or level 80.

I know I am not the only person that thinks this is a fatal flaw in their design, and it is going to cause a lot of issues.  I am now completely locked out of doing any elite quests that I had saved up because they were impossible to do before. Where does that leave me now? I feel like I've lost about 1/6 of the game, and all because they wanted to stop people abusing their bad stat and level system.

*Small edit: I'm just about to hit 80, so yes removing the ability to do any elite content that is 10-40 levels below me is a serious blow to the playability I current am presented with. There is not much to do at 80, and this has seriously shortened the list.)

That is the kind of argument that is generated on these threads way too often.  I noticed that the posts calling me an idiot for liking AoC haven't responded with my challenge of listing the games they are playing.  If people are going to dish it out then they should at least have the decency and inform everyone what game they are involved in so for those of us that have not been blessed with the game they are playing we can at least see what MMO is soooo much better than AoC or whatever game of the month they may be bashing.

And for the record I don't even hate WoW.  I stopped playing it after 1 week because I couldn't stand the graghics any longer, it made me wanna puke.  Besides I am a PC enthusiast and spend a lot of money on the latest technology so I want to see it being stretched.

You really should stop defending this shitty ass game and company.

 

Point #1 - Most Games don't need 2 patches a week on release. MOST games aren't that messed up. A few were that messed up, but not many. Most "Good" games patch once a week on a schedule. Reason for this is they pretty much had the game release ready when it was put on a shelf. They didn't stick it on the shelves 6 months early and patch like the mad scientist in hopes of retaining subs.

Point #2 - Quit trying to cover for FC on itemization, it makes you not look so smart. The game has shit armor sets. Honestly adding armor to the game should be the last thing on FC's mind right now, it should be fixing the damn thing out of beta first. Who gives 2 shits about 12 new armor sets. They will look the same just be a diff variation of orange, green or red or some shit. Same model I would assume.

Point #3 - Don't compare AoC to Vanguard.   Its like comparing a stinky turd to a horrible stinky turd. If your comparing a game down to vanguards release, then it really is shitty. I always find it funny when people say "Oh yeah but it's better than Vanguard at release!"... SWEET! you just compared it to the worst MMO Launch in history. GRATZ! I am happy it is better than that!
