Quests give 40x Exp of killing mob plz
i would like to see and request a mmo that is quest-based story driven fill with cutscenes and cinematics. quest will give 40x higher exp than mindlessly killing mobs. say you kill a mob and it give you 10exp.... but when you complete a quest it will give you 400exp.... or my math is wrong? anyway i want to see quest give 40x higher exp than killing mobs.
what you people think of this?
no wait.... make that 900x........ quest give 900x higher exp than killing a mob.

I think it's ok for people that like doing quests. I think you're basically saying, you get most or all of the exp at the end, AFTER you complete the quest, not a little bit of XP for each mob killed as you are doing the quest. I don't see a problem with it, and it would motivate players to finish quests so they can get the reward. I don't like questing, and prefer grinding with a good group, just working to the bottom of a good dungeon and beating the boss mob, but some people do like quests and reading quest dialog. |

That sounds exactly like Guild Wars. Yes, you get XP for killing mobs, but you get a load more for completing a quest. Besides that, there is only 20 levels that are easily reached. The custscenes etc. are there too... |

I enjoy the fight as well, however, I would rather go fight my way through a dungeon to the boss for a reward when I turn in his head =). I like to think of quests as a pointer of where to grind with a little cherry on top (loot). |

My favorite part of an MMORPG is grouping and killing mobs or PvP, not questing, so I'd rather have a game where groups that kill tough mobs get 900x the exp of what a solo player can get. |

half agree. i would like to have 900x higher exp when killing mobs/quests in party too.
giving high exp for quest reduce botters. it is easy for someone to code a program that run up on the nearest mob and attack it.
vote massive exp for quests and party. super tiny exp for soloing killing mindless mobs repeatly.
ps. i love instance dungeon in mabinogi where it have a boss at the end of the dungeon. i can do that over and over without bored like running up to mobs and attack it everytime it spawn non stop repeatly.

LOTRO gives you much more exp for quests than mobs. |
