"Difficulties are meant to rouse, not discourage. The human spirit is to grow strong by conflict."

Still love this game, Im level 20 and all, and recently noticed the notice my character recieved saying I was eligible to learn disciplines. So, I looked at the Shadowbane site, and decided I wanted to be a Commander. Where would I go for this?

You need to go to the commander rune drop.

A boss mob spawns every 3 hours at these locations, and the bosses drop the rune.

Here's the location of the commander drop: http://www.mordkessel.com/wiki/mediawiki/index.php?title=Commander

Truth be told though, the commander rune is fabled to be one of the hardest runes to get. You will want to take a group with you when you go to the drop.

This website shows when the servers were last resetted, and givs a very good estimate around what time the runes will drop:

I have another question, what exactly are employments? What do they do, what can you get from them, and what do you have to do with them? I just got moved to a new city who sells employment (yes I am still a Noob-ish leveled character) and just found out about them. cronicle.ubi has no help on this.

theyre actually employment contracts. For example if you want a vendor who can make and sell light armor, youd need  that particular scroll.

Yea, um, as well as that, where would a level 22 in the main land (Erkeng Hold) go to solo train. Or am I at a point where I need a group due to leaving noob-island too soon. Srry for being bad and asking so many questions.

It's usually best to leave noob island at level 27+, but you aren't completely screwed.

The best place for you to go is northeast of alderith. If you unclick the mines option from your map, you can see the level ranges for different zones.

Make sure you buy a concoction potion from the alchemist for 10k. The buffs will nearly double your stats at your level.

Most importantly though, you need to find a guild. A guild will give you access to r7 trainers (freehold trainers won't let you train all of your skills), and depending on where their cities are, you'll probably get access to zones which are only populated by neighboring guilds, so you will be ganked much less. You will also have access to better armor and gear for cheaper, and the entire Shadowbane experience will be easier.

Solo play in Shadowbane is a very advanced playstyle, and only for experienced players.

um, I have a bard alt as well and I was wondering if bards can actually get instruments, since they are described as musicians, so is it just singing or can I have an instrument too?

No instruments.

You need to acquire a blademaster rune. Either by buying one or finding and killing the correct rune dropper. Remember blademaster swords are dexterity  based.

Find a guild and join it. They can help you get geared and answer your questions.

Even sandboxes have fundamental rules such as; "Don't eat the cat poop, you'll die."
