NCsoft Korea has announced that the third round of Aion's Korean beta test will run from July 1st until July 20th.  Details of the North American and European beta tests have yet to be announced.

In an announcement presented to company investors, NCsoft Korea announced the third phase of the Korean Aion Closed Beta Test (CBT) will start July 1st and end on July 20th.

Features available during this round of testing include Faction versus Faction combat in the Abyss, a zone where the two races battle for control of land, fortresses, resources and artifacts. Testers will also have the option of experiencing enhanced content such as item crafting, more quests, increased character level advancement and an improved user interface.

Ive been tacking a number of new and different types of mmo's out there and this is one of them. I may sign up for the beta.

we might get an EU/NA open beta by october/november at most if all goes fine as it did so far.

korean open beta should happen in august most probably and EU/NA closed wont be really necessary.

of course this is only my personal opinion but i think most likely it will happen like that.

its sechedulded for July's 1st, it will be showing endgame, there's no enforced NDA, so expect hundreds of videos in youtube and loads of opinions/interviews. Aionsource.com will have a pair of Korean English speaking testers reporting there and showing screens.

Great news for Korean's and us because we gonna see many new content. If anyone is wondering when us/eu beta will be it was said what ncsoft will anounnce later in summer.

That's what I'm really waiting to hear about before I pay this game much attention.  Could be considerable lag between the release of the Korean version vs the Western one if past history is any indication.
