What is the correct way to install/patch the DAOC client to have the most up to date client with every free expansion?

I downloaded the trial before, then realized there is a client for Catacombs, graphics update patch, TOA client, etc.

all I can tell you is, play on the one of the "Classic" servers, you'll have a better time trust me, the normal servers you're gonna be really overpowered by the players who have been there longer and have gotten all the crazy endgame gear and master lvls.

To get everything with all expansions and graphics etc that are FREE, you need catacombs and darkness falls.  I am not positive where to get it all because I have been using an old download of the clients.  I have 3 catacombs files (catacombs_setup, catacombs_setup_1, and catacombs_setup_3) and then I have a catacombs to darkness falls file (catacombs_to_darkness_setup).  I also have Labyrinth of the Minotaur (LOTM_setup).  I believe you can get all the files from their download site, but I was thinking DF was free and it is not listed as such there.

To add a comment about the previous poster's advice.  Classic servers are nice, but the reality is that with the new origins server coming out in ~6 months, I suspect classic might become somewhat limited on population.  ToA servers are pretty much set for population especially if they merge them again when origins is released.  Classic servers are also much more expensive (IMO) than ToA servers for the mid and upper levels because you rely so heavily on crafted gear and potions.  That said, I play on classic and actually enjoy them better.

DAOC is not free...costs $14.95/month USD.

All patches can be found at the DAOC site. Labrynth is the current.most recient client. That must be used to have the full content of the game.

Yup classic servers are going to be obsolete once origins server is launched but it's a good place to practice till then XD

I for one has just downloaded the free trial in anticipation for the origins server.

I appreciate you guys posting trying to help out. Still haven't answered my question though. =)

I see the client download files/patches on their download page. Thing is I don't know in which order/etc to install them. I tried installing SI client first, then installing Catacombs over the SI path, then installed TOA over that path. I then patched the client and 3/4 the way through I get an error. Then I patch again, and it's only like 150mb.

After all that, I start up DAOC and it says I only have SI installed. What am I doing wrong?

original, si, and ToA clients are obsolete if you have the 3-part catacombs client.  That is all you need.  I just installed it 2 days ago and used the catacombs client on a computer that had never had daoc installed on it before.  Patcher worked fine and I had no problem logging into my toons as long as they weren't in Labyrinth.

It will give you a good taste of what WAR is all about.

But the graphics are a little old.

Just try out the system for a month.
