Is this only for people who have previously subscribed to the game or what? I played the trial once a while back and im interested in playing the 2 months thingy free...

However I did not get any E-Mail or anything, so is there a way to get it?

I found that EQ2 was giving away 2 free months here on mmorpg, I did not get any e-mail or regular mail about it.

However you must have owned and been a paid subscriber at one time in order to play for free.  Free trial does not count.

I loaded my disc, received ALL updates and expansions.  Then typed in my old user name and passward and BAM, I was in !

  Actually the free trial does count.  Any account or free trial that was inactive on April 30th and was in good standing.  To check just log into the station account you did the trial with and look at the subscription details for EQ2, you should see all the expansions activated, several gifts and an active subscription till August 1st.

Which accounts are given free time?
All inactive subscribers in good standing and trail accounts as of April 30th, 2008, can play EverQuest and EverQuest II with the latest content at no charge during this promotion.

Been playing since the free 2 months started and been having a blast. The new starter zone (Timorous Deep) is great. If your planning on starting a new character, I highly recommend making a new character there.

Thanks for this I had the trial back in 2004 and didn't enjoy so I never added the game. I got early access or something for pre-order. I have all SOE games with free trials right now lol I have like 56 days for EQ1 lol. But yeah I see the EQ2 60 says in my account. So I guess I just download the launcher and download the game then?

So when the days end is the time up or do you just subscribe?

Sweet will do I remember when I played before it didn't seen very solo friendly. But I played back in 04's I guess alot has changed in 4 years?

Wonderful, glad I read this post. Husband and I will be returning to EQ2 after the AoC flop. We paid big bucks to upgrade our computers, and I cant' wait to see how pretty the game is with our hot new cards.

And yes, EQ2 is very solo friendly now and has been for some time. You will also find the guilds are really the best available in any MMO market.

yes, guilds are very personal, almost like a family.  I have yet to find a mean person or someone to call you "omg stupid noob".  While you may have some hard quests that you cant solo, people are gonna be there to help you.  Its sometimes hard to find a quest/instance group, but not THAT hard to keep you from playing.  Overall its a fun game and definitely worth giving a shot again.  The new Timoros Deep starting zone is a great nooby zone.  The gear it gives out is so unbalanced (in a good way) that you will likely hold on to all the gear you get from it until your 30's (you leave the zone at 20 XD ).  So add me on xfire - my name is respyshunt or PM me in game on Antonia Bayle.  Name is Killinos.
